Food was good. Just as described. The service was detailed and they offered us complimentary drinks bc they were closing early like they normally do on Sunday. I thought that was very kind and generous. Staff was very welcoming. Will definitely return.

Love the monkey bread, cold brew coffee and food. Usually has a wait- we waited 10 minutes this time. Chairs/tables are a little on top of each other- so an adult sitting behind an adult is a tight squeeze. Service can be a little slow, but they are all very pleasant- prob because of how busy they stay. All that being said, it is our go to oc breakfast spot.

Don’t advertise for New Years Day lunch on your Facebook if you can’t handle all the customers. The place is over flowing and PACKED with people stuffed into a small waiting area with no way to make reservations.

Another excellent experience at Bad Monkey on 58th Street. I called earlier in the morning because we had a party of 10. They don’t take reservations, but I wanted to give them a heads-up. I called again when we were on our way and was told we could sit separately or take a high-top, which we chose. When we arrived, another group of 10 claimed they were the ones who had called ahead (they hadn’t), but the front-of-house staff handled it professionally and pulled tables together for us anyway. It was a little tight, but the service was EXCELLENT. Food came out fast, everything was prepared correctly, and it all tasted great. 👍

Food was subpar. Onion rings were mediocre, dipping sauce was not right. Wings were dry and the special sauce was something not so special, made me feel sick while eating it. Kids burgers were half the size of the bun, my daughter ate 2 bites and said it was horrible. I tried it and it was nothing but a meat patty, no flavor. The fries were dry and cold. We waited forever for our food only for a polite apology. Could have taken something off the top or offered us something on the house. My husband and I have a food spot, we offer something on the house when we fall short. The waiter was nice, I still tipped him 20%, not his fault the restaurants food sucked. Disappointing for the amount of money you gotta spend to eat out, atleast provide good food! We won't be going back. ✌️

I have been coming here for years and never had anything but good things to say. Today we went back for the first time in about a year and it was by far the worst food and the worst service I have ever experienced at a restaurant. We sat there for 15 minutes before I finally had to ask for a waitress end it went downhill from there.

We were a family of 12! Our waitress was friendly and efficient. The atmosphere was wonderful as was the food! It was a great place to go!
The All American Waffle was tasty and fresh, a perfect start to the day. The Food for Thought Avocado Toast was also really good, and the breakfast potatoes on the side were cooked perfectly. A solid spot for a satisfying morning meal.

Please do not EVER order the food. the drinks were good and bartender was nice, but… i mean, the photo speaks for itself lol. I wish I had asked for a refund, but I’m just not bold enough for that. I didn’t even think to leave a review until four months later. if you only want to drink, it’s honestly a good time. but seriously - NO FOOD.
