We went to this restaurant to celebrate a friend’s birthday, and our server made the entire experience miserable from beginning to end. She never apologized for anything, and it genuinely felt intimidating to ask her for even the smallest things. I’ve worked in the industry myself, so I fully understand how exhausting it can be, but that doesn’t justify treating customers poorly, especially when people are paying for the service. I told her the coffee tasted like water and had no flavor at all. When she brought us new coffee, she practically threw the cups onto the table so aggressively that they made a loud noise, and she brought the pot over as if to prove it was fresh, yet it still had no taste. Every time she came to “check on us,” she pushed our chairs even though our jackets were on them, and once again didn’t bother to apologize. It was my first time at the restaurant, and I had heard great things about it, but the experience was truly awful. We were actually way too generous by still leaving her a tip of more than 20%, when most people would have left nothing after service like that. What was supposed to be a special celebration turned into a really disappointing meal. This is not about the place, it’s about the service.. I've never been treated like this anywhere. And still we tried to have a good time regardless

West OC was great. Close to home and the staff are always fun. Fresh bread is amazing. Monkey bread in the morning is a whole other level. Just thankful there’s no slide or zip line into the parking lot!

Just a heads up - maybe call before you go. It was our first time and I'm not sure if this is an off season thing. We arrived on a Saturday at 12:15 and were told that they are transitioning from breakfast to lunch and they would seat us, but it would be a 45 minute wait for lunch. Several parties left to get lunch elsewhere. It would be nice if they would at least put someone at the bottom of the stairs to tell you before you walk up.
