The Bearded Clam has a prime spot right next to the boardwalk, so naturally we thought, “Perfect—drinks and food!” Well, turns out the only thing they were serving us was disappointment, because we were told they don’t do food. Fine, whatever—orange crushes it is. And to be fair, the orange crush was solid.
They’ve also got this hilarious photo booth with a boob theme (yes, you read that right). Definitely a conversation starter—probably the most entertaining part of our stop.
But then… enter Grumpy Santa. An older guy with a white beard behind the bar who made it his mission to kill the vibe. We tried to tip him, but only had cards. Asked about Venmo, Cash App, anything modern. His solution? “Go to the ATM.” Like sir, we’re trying to give you money, not apply for a mortgage. He actually argued with our friend over it, which was so ridiculous. Poor service.
