We stopped by The Boozy Egg (located at the Quality Inn at 145th Street in Ocean City, MD) for happy hour on a Wednesday. As long-time visitors to OC for over 50 years, we were curious to try this new spot. The atmosphere was fairly quiet—no live music or events — but we appreciated the opportunity to check it out.
Our server was friendly and attentive, taking our orders promptly and even checking back to make sure one of our party was satisfied with their beer. Happy hour runs from 2–5 p.m., with crushes and craft drafts both priced at $7, on par with other places in OC. That said, the first round of crushes was underwhelming, lacking the freshness we expected. Fortunately, the second round was much better.
We sampled a few items from the appetizer menu—nachos, blackened ahi tuna, and cheesesteak egg rolls. The tuna was the standout, served with a flavorful wasabi-soy glaze. The nachos and egg rolls, however, reminded us of concession stand fare—bland and overpriced for what they offered. There were no happy hour specials on food.
One downside to note: while the deck offers plenty of outdoor seating, smoking is allowed at the bar. Unfortunately, we were downwind of a smoker, which detracted from the experience.
We didn’t try the breakfast (served starting at 7 a.m.) or any entrées, though our server recommended the Boozy Club sandwich and the wraps. Maybe next time. Overall, we probably wouldn’t return unless there’s a good live band playing—the space seems better suited for a lively night out than a laid-back happy hour.

Came for breakfast. Had a nice view of the ocean with a great breeze. Food came out quickly and our bartender Tristan was excellent. I had the avocado toast, decent sized portion and the breakfast potatoes were great!

Eric was such a great server. He was nice and chill. He provided great recommendations and was super attentive and let us enjoy the great food and atmosphere without making us feel rushed. I am definitely making this a regular breakfast spot.

The Boozy Egg is a great little pool bar at the Quality Inn on the Fenwick, OC border.
Surprisingly, the food is really good. I’ve had breakfast and lunch multiple times and the food was great.
The Prices are reasonable and the bartenders are lots of fun!

Waitress was the worse! Acted like she was doing us a favor waiting on us, she just didn’t care. There were only 3 other tables! Food was good, atmosphere great…. Service was really bad. Maybe that’s why it wasn’t busier. Terrible waitress…. We were there on Thursday 8/22… and we are locals and 2/3 of our table is in the hospitality industry….so get better staff
Kyle is the best! Great bartender, really nice guy. Just met him and I feel like I’ve known him for years. Excellent!!!

This place was the highlight of a terrible stay at the hotel it is attached to. Great music, drinks, food, and employees. I would highly recommend the Boozy Egg to anyone no matter where they stay!
