Captain's Table Restaurant and Bar

Went here for Valentine’s Day. The service was great. The Shrimp and Scallop risotto was very good as well. Only critiques were that the crab and artichoke dip had more grapes in it than crab. And the specialty drinks weren’t that good. But overall it was a good experience.

My Boyfriend and I came here for our valentines dinner. We were seated right away (with reservations). We were seated in the very back room, which was already a let down from the main dining room with the piano playing and more intimate feeling, instead this room had the radio playing and very bright lights. It then took about 15-20 minutes for anyone to even acknowledge us (all it would take was hi i’m sorry i will be right with you guys) when she finally came over we put our bar drinks in, the appetizer and our mains all at the same time. we got our waters, then later on the appetizer came out before the bread and our bar drinks? (we had the lobster mac special which ended up being cold, my boyfriend ate it because he was starving and who knows how long it would’ve taken at this point to get a new one) finally everything came out including our meals, which were ok, i only took a few bites and took the rest to go because i was so irritated by this point. we would’ve loved to get dessert but we just wanted to get out of there. during all of this we noticed a table that came in about 15 minutes after us got their waters, bread, bar drinks, appetizer and dinners before us in a speedy manner. in the end i think she could tell we weren’t happy and took off 2 drinks. Great thank you. It still didn’t make up for the awful experience. I was very excited to bring my boyfriend here since he’s never been, being i’ve been here with my family for Christmas eve dinners and it was amazing. I get it’s a busy night but it wasn’t that packed in there during this time, maybe she was new to serving i’m not sure. We will not be coming back. Also our servers name was Abigail if i’m correct.

The Captain’s Table has to be one of the best restaurants in Ocean City, Maryland. Every single thing that we tried was fabulous. Mike, the manager, and Jimmy, the bartender, are absolutely incredible employees and treat you like royalty. I cannot say enough about the food. I can’t wait to go back to eat there again. The restaurant is super clean and right off the Ocean City, Maryland, Boardwalk. Do yourself a favor and treat your taste buds to the best there is in Ocean City.

The service and overall atmosphere were pleasant, and the appetizers were enjoyable, which gave us high hopes for the rest of the meal. We loved having the piano bar. Unfortunately, the entrees were a major disappointment. Two of us ordered the steak frites, and it was genuinely the worst steak I have had in a very long time. It was so poor that I could only eat a small bite before giving up entirely. Given the price point, the quality of the entrees was unacceptable and overshadowed the positives of the evening. Overall, this was a disappointing dining experience, and based on the food quality, I would not recommend this restaurant.

Our favorite OC Fine Dining restaurant! We love the piano playing in the background! Excellent service at bar and in dining room! Dinner for 4 included crab ravioli, filet, rockfish-all well prepared. This is a great find for those that enjoy quiet and catered dining! Thank you

We've been coming here for new years dinner for the past 6 years and it never disappoints. The ambience the live piano player provides sets the mood from the start. The host is very gracious and welcoming. Service is a little delayed but is to be expected on a full house on New Year's day. The food is tasty and big portions. The menue has various options from fancy Chateaubrian to Surf and Turf. We are always pleased.

This restaurant is a gem of Ocean City. The service, the food, the ambience and the entertainment were all excellent. I highly recommend it.

Very nice experience!! Everyone was very nice and the food was excellent. We had shrimp and scallops risotto and the crab cake. The price is to be expected for the type and quality of food in the current state of our economy.

Pleasantly surprised! The piano player is the first impression we experienced and he was excellent! The Christmas music, the sophisticated decor, friendly waitress, delicious food and sangria made the list of meals to remember while on holiday. I will keep this one in mind for future trips.

My wife and I went for her birthday, and had a great meal! I had the cream of crab soup to start, and it was creamy and luscious, with lump crab meat and a touch of heat on the finish. I had the crab cake stuffed shrimp as an entree (with rice and asparagus sides) and it was cooked perfectly. My wife started with the onion soup which was deeply flavored, and had the steak frites as an entree, which was also cooked perfectly. We finished a bottle of Simi Cabernet throughout the meal, and split a coffee creme brulee for dessert. Service was excellent, and the ambience with the piano player (who played at the perfect volume to be enjoyed but not cause you to shout) was delightful. Prices were what you'd expect at a high-end restaurant without being exorbitant. Great meal! We will return.

We will be back! The food was amazing, the service was just right (not too disruptive but there when we needed it), and the ambiance with live piano was perfect.

My dad and I had Thanksgiving dinner here for the first time this afternoon and the service and the Thanksgiving buffet was excellent! A cousin and a good friend recommended coming here and I’m glad they mentioned how great the food was.

🎉Another amazing experience!
It was my birthday, and honestly, just another normal day for me—we usually don’t make a big deal of it. But 💜Jimmy, Kim, and Jody completely surprised me and made me feel so special! The food was fresh and delicious as always, I had a little cake and candles and the whole place feels warm and welcoming, like a big hug 🤗 . You can really tell they love what they do. Thank you for turning my day into something so sweet!
