Captain's Table Restaurant and Bar

This is our annual place to eat at on our final night in OC. We have been coming here about 12 years and I have never had a bad meal. We always make a point of coming on a Friday evening so we can hear the piano man. Our food was delicious as always. The catch of the day was halibut which my husband especially liked. The cauliflower appetizer was enjoyed by everybody. Happy hour is between four and six and the items and drinks on that menu are well worth a try. Service was great. We will be here again next year for sure. 

Overall it was nice, we ordered the sirlion steak - medium and the crab cake. The steak had no pink and the crab cake was charred on the bottom. The flavor for both was fine, just overcooked. Service was fine, a little thing, we usually book our anniversary dinner through open door and the restaurant usually acknowledges our special occasion, not this time.

Consistently great food! Their macadamia nut catch of the day is always delicious! The scallops were amazing! Staff was attentive and friendly! 

We were an hour late with our reservation, but they still let us come; even though they were closing in a half hour. Food and service were excellent! We’ll definitely be back next time we come down to OC!!

The food was delicious. The staff was wonderful. We're not sure why, but Open Table canceled our reservation for six after it was confirmed. Thankfully, the restaurant was able to still accommodate our group.

The Captains Table has become a steak house! All the great seafood dishes are gone from the menu! I ordered the fish of the day which was pan seared tilefish. It was not seared at all, just overcooked. The salsa was very good. We had the best service we've had there in years, but are so disappointed that the crab specialties, the halibut, and other seafood dishes are gone from the menu that we will not return. There are lots of steaks on the menu.

Had my birthday dinner May 20 and was so happy with the service,food,and atmosphere. Thank you Came back the following night and was again pleased with my visit

This restaurant is lovely. You will not be disappointed. The wait staff is friendly and smart. The menu is large without being overwhelming. If you are looking for a nice place to eat in Ocean City, give this place a try. The bar is well stocked, and our drinks were excellent. Highly recommended.

Had a fabulous dining experience this past Saturday evening. Very accommodating to my specific food allergies. Service was friendly and attentive and was able to have dishes prepared gluten free that are not often available to me in other restaurants. Everything from the cocktails through dessert was just amazing!!!! Thank you.

Reservation at 7:30 and ran out of fish special and baked potatoes. Medium rare steak order came out well done. Good shrimp cocktail, crab soup, stuffed shrimp

My sirloin was excellent. Perfectly cooked, and fantastic flavor. My wife had the stuffed shrimp, and very much enjoyed it. We had the oysters Rockefeller as an app, and it was among the best we've had. Service was attentive as well.

This hidden gem during the off season has one of the best steak meals you can find. They give you a meal for 3/4 the price of a steak (a la carte) in a steak house. And they don't shy away from special requests. If you have a food allergy- they hear you and accommodate.

Cesar salad a nice size. Mussels thoroughly enjoyed as appetizer. The shrimp bowl and steak frite were dynamite. Coffee crème brûlée among best ever enjoyed. Chocolate lava cake also very good. Cold brew as well as chocolate martinis expertly made. Service was impeccable. Well worth the trip.

Dinner was great. Husband had the tomahawk steak and said that it was cooked perfectly. He finished it all, and some of the blistered red skin potatoes. I had the colossal lobster tail, and I took more than half of everything on my plate home. Lol...breakfast for the morning. Service was outstanding. Phil at the ivories is always a special treat!. Enjoyed dinner for Restaurant week 2025. Had Steak Frites, Smoked shrimp dip, and Coffee Crème Brule. My wife had the Salmon Bowl, the shrimp dip and Crème Brule as well. Excellent as always.
