Captain's Table Restaurant and Bar

My wife and I went for her birthday, and had a great meal! I had the cream of crab soup to start, and it was creamy and luscious, with lump crab meat and a touch of heat on the finish. I had the crab cake stuffed shrimp as an entree (with rice and asparagus sides) and it was cooked perfectly. My wife started with the onion soup which was deeply flavored, and had the steak frites as an entree, which was also cooked perfectly. We finished a bottle of Simi Cabernet throughout the meal, and split a coffee creme brulee for dessert. Service was excellent, and the ambience with the piano player (who played at the perfect volume to be enjoyed but not cause you to shout) was delightful. Prices were what you'd expect at a high-end restaurant without being exorbitant. Great meal! We will return.

We will be back! The food was amazing, the service was just right (not too disruptive but there when we needed it), and the ambiance with live piano was perfect.

My dad and I had Thanksgiving dinner here for the first time this afternoon and the service and the Thanksgiving buffet was excellent! A cousin and a good friend recommended coming here and I’m glad they mentioned how great the food was.

The description says there is a view, there is not. The food is decent, not great. We ordered a Casar salad, crab cake and burger. If the salad had just been those packages croutons, whatever, but most of the lettuce was brown and rancid. It should have never been served. The waitress, who was excellent, immediately took it away and made sure it was off the bill. The crab cake is Maryland good, not Maryland great and for what they charge, it should be great. I also like mine cooked a little,ore. It was served with a baked potato, cold one. I like my potatoes hot. Hubby had the burger. He said it was pretty good, but that five guys burger is better. So, there you go. Really good attentive wait staff serving decent food that could be so much better.

It was early and a little slow however they did a nice job seating us right away. I had the burger and the wife had the risotto. Both were outstanding and what made it extra special...they acknowledged her birthday! Unlike @ristoranteantipasti, these folks made my wife feel special on her birthday and that counts for a lot. Good food, decent portions, and reasonable pricing make this a reliable stop.

Great food, great service in a wonderful atmosphere. Our table of 8 was very well taken care of. Everyone enjoyed their meal and the appetizers were enjoyed by all. The courtyard Marriott location is a beautiful oceanfront hotel that houses the Captains Table. Great place to go for any occasion.

Such an incredible dining experience. The food was incredible, cooked perfectly, and was fast! Our waitress was awesome, and helped us pick out some perfect drinks. Not to mention they had a live pianist playing! After we left and already made it out of the building Vladamir brought me my sunglassed i forgot! He was so nice! Super awesome time, go here if you get the chance!

We had a wonderful experience here. It's enjoyable to sit at the bar, have a few beverages and some appetizers. Highly recommend the crab guacamole. And the espresso and chocolate martinis? Out of this world. They have a pretty decent bourbon selection. And the price - priced just right.Lynn is an amazing bartender, and a great waitress. If you go ask for her because she is awesome.

We visited the Captains Table for dinner a few nights ago. My husband and I both ordered steaks and they were absolutely delicious! The relaxing atmosphere added to our perfect dinner date!

Have visited this place a few times and have had good experiences until yesterday. Cannot give more than 2 stars. Started at the bar. Decided to go for a pre dinner drink and waited a full 15 min before the bartender even acknowledged us. She immediately asked what we wanted instead of offering a drink menu. Then another 10 min before taking our order as she was busy talking to “regulars”. Then ordered steak baked potato and carrots. Server said they were out of baked potatoes at 7:16. Steak was over cooked and dry carrots were the peeled little ones I buy at the store. Felt like the chef just called it in with little effort. Disappointed. Will have to think about returning

We had an issue with the temperature of my food (prime rib) and there was additional miscommunication from the server to the kitchen, so my dining partner was pretty much finished before I ever got a corrected meal. Additionally, the original plate came out without the au jus and appeared it had been sitting for awhile. The manager was GREAT and fixed everything however by then we were just ready to go, so we took the 2nd steak home. Dining partner had the special tile fish and he said it was about a B-, tasty but dry and overcooked and also there was no sauce on the plate, as originally described. For $38, the portion was pretty small. I'd go back and try other items mostly because the manager was so great and tried to help.

Beautifully prepared, large portion meals. Polite, informal, attentive service. Only opportunity for improvement was it felt like a hotel coffee shop. Atmosphere did not match how very good the restaurant was
