Only place around to get crabs before 12pm and a long standing business so I took my out of town friend to crack some crabs. The server was attentive and the beer was cold, the corn was good, and the crabs were hot, but just not the best. We got 1/2 dozen large and then 4 more, prices were avg, but every crab seemed to be missing at least one claw. A couple were watery and they were not well seasoned. We were first customers in that day and I guess I just expected a little more JO, a little better pick of the bushel. They did bring extra seasoning which I normally would not request. I appreciate that they were open early and certainly got the job done, but I am not sure that I'd take the fam there for a feast.

I visited Crab Bag in Ocean City with a group of 10 friends, and we had a fantastic time! The atmosphere was lively, the seafood was fresh and flavorful, and the service was efficient, even with our large group. It was a fun and satisfying experience for everyone. Highly recommend for groups looking for a great meal!

My favorite crab place since the early 80s!
So, a friend and I were looking for an AYCE crab restaurant in OC where we were staying for weekend.
I did some googling and some review reading and we called a few places to compare prices.
We decided to try this place; it had pretty great reviews AND it was $10 cheaper than the two other spots we were considering. (You got me there)!
Well, Guess what? We lucked out…This was a great choice!
Services was great, with just the right amount of attention.
The atmosphere is exactly what you’re looking for when you want to go to a crab shack…. Out on the deck sitting on a bench table right next to a beach style bar that is playing good music!
What more can you ask for, when crab eating?!
Moving on to the star of the show, the crabs! These crabs were really good!…. Small but meaty lil guys. It can be hard or take a long time to get your fill on crabs but not with these. They were perfect!
My only sort of complaint is that somewhere along the line, one of these generations came and changed hush puppies by adding powdered sugar on them. ????
I know, I was a little applauded too.
However; not to worry, they were more than happy to leave the power off our puppies.
My friend ordered the crab soup. She said she has always wanted to try this version. It is a thick, creamy, cheesy version. (Think cheese and broccoli for consistency).
It can out piping hot with large lumps of crab on top. It was very yummy and very rich.
Another thing I really appreciated was, they provide all of the crab picking tools you would ever need!
That was awesome, made getting into those little guys so much easier!
After we left I told my friend this was going to be my go to AYCE crab spot.

Went there for the first time recently (crusin '24) at a friend's suggestion. I had the fried shrimp po boy sandwich, and it was quite good. I would go again but maybe at a different time. We had a bigger party size (4 adults and 3 kids and a baby - so 7 total) and waited about 30-45 minutes to be seated and another 20ish minutes for our food after ordering.
