Handed the wrong drinks around and didn't give us a lid on one of the ice cream sodas

Today was my first visit. There was a line of about 6 people when I arrived, my order was taken in less than 5 minutes. I had initially planned on just getting an ice cream cone, but after seeing the topping options I went for a scoop with a topping: coffee with sea salt caramel. The staff were quick but very courteous. The stand was clean, there was plenty of parking, and the ice cream is delicious. This is now a must-do for me on OC trips!

I'd love to say otherwise, but I was disappointed with the soft serve ice cream.
I had high expectations based on the store's appearance - looked like an old fashioned ice cream / custard stand like you'd find in Wisconsin.
I ordered a Chocolate / Vanilla swirl. The soft serve was over aerated, and the ice cream lacked flavor. It was also not very cold, just barely enough to freeze (and this was a 58 degree day in October).
The service was good, and perhaps some of their other products (maybe the hard packed ice cream) are worthy of the many good reviews others have posted.
As for me, I'll look elsewhere when I need a fix.
