Make sure you check your bill to make sure it’s correct! Our server gave us our bill and after reviewing I actually took a photo. It states “guest count: 2, resort fee 3.5%. What is a resort fee???! Then to top it off, another line item: large party fee 20%. Wow! So my husband questioned our server, Linda, and she said “that’s for people who don’t tip”. I have never been to this restaurant before and didn’t know Linda, so how did she know if we tipped? She did remove the 20%. The food was actually good, but we probably won’t return.

The staff was very nice and the food had a nice taste. I had the Assateague Chicken sandwich topped with crab dip which was tasty. Unfortunately the chicken was stringy, chewy and tough. The lady sitting next to me at the bar said the same thing about her chicken dish sandwich. She told me this was very unusual as she had eaten several times and the chicken was always good. I wish the bar server had asked me how the sandwich was and I would have shared my thoughts. I'd still go back.

The previous owners retired, and the new owners offer a significantly reduced menu selection. I used to frequent this establishment numerous times throughout the summer months, but the menu selection is so limited that I will not be returning. We asked the waitress where all the local patrons were and she responded that they stopped coming. No wonder: there are too few menu options and the live 2-piece band is so loud that one cannot converse with their dinner guests. The establishment is closing soon for remodeling. The waitress informed me that the new owners want to re-open in time for the NFL season. So, no more meaningful restaurant food; just bar food and alcoholic beverages.

If you loved Full Moon, you’ll be disappointed at the change in ownership. What was great comfort food with a chef’s twist is now just typically over spiced bar food. What was a great restaurant with a bar is just now another noisy OC bar with typical bar fare. It’s now more of a tourist trap than a local’s favorite. Given the competition in the area, it won’t last.

I liked Full Moon Saloon before the newOwners took over. Food menu is similar to Shottys Point. Full Moon had a great special menu .

Now will be Shottis Point but the food is as good or better. Some menu changes including bigger crab cakes 6 Oz. And soft shell club Sammie. Wish the would offer a one crab cake platter. 12 Oz of crab meat is very rich.

*** UPDATE ***This restaurant was purchased by Shotti's in the winter so the menu has changed (brisket and many other items are gone!), but so far most everything else is the same, including the Sunday brunch and the dollar oyster shots on Sundays starting around 12:30.Read David F's review if you want more information on the changes to the menu.I was there this past Sunday for oysters, and I talked to Denise, the bartender, and she told me that so far she has been happy with things.I have added pics of the new menu so you can see it. The one that is on Yelp is broken because Shotti's hasn't updated it.Check 'em out!

Full Moon used to be a favorite spot for a varied menu, and good quality and value, but Shotti's -- the new owners -- have really ruined it for me. We decided to go to FM for dinner last night hoping that Shotti's had kept a number of the old favorite dishes, as they had said they would. I was instantly dismayed to see that the menu was the same as you'd find at any of the Shotti's locations in Ocean City. The only thing on the menu that promised some of the old flavor was the shrimp salad wrap, which claimed to be a wrap version of Miss El's shrimp salad (previously a sandwich); it wasn't. The delicate flavor of shrimp was totally overpowered by the spicy, remoulade-like dressing and the overloading of jalapenos. They should drop that "El" from the description. Totally ruined. My wife's dinner was better. She likes Shotti's pirate chili (which actually contains olives!!!), and ordered that at Full Moon; she loved it, and even ordered more 'to go.' She liked the flavor of her baby-back ribs, although they were pretty fatty for her taste, and her order of fried Brussels sprouts came out as she likes: crispy outside, but cooked through and not hard.Almost forgot: another disappointment for me was that I can no longer get a Black-and-Tan from the bar; they still have the draft lager, but apparently have discontinued the Guinness (which was in a can).So if you are a long-time customer, don't expect any of the old favorites such as great fried chicken, fresh fish-of-the-day, soups-of-the-day, fresh-baked desserts, smoked brisket Reuben, or any of your favorites. Sad.
