If I could give a zero I would. We had the absolute WORST service I’ve ever had in ANY restaurant. We walked in around 930am on 5/24 and were seated immediately which was nice. But that’s about the only good thing that happened. Our server was HORRENDOUS. He came over about 5 minutes after we sat down to get drink orders then took another 5-10 minutes to bring 2 coffees and 2 waters. He then came back 10 minutes after that to take our food orders and then we didn’t see him again. We asked for coffee refills in our tiny mugs as he dropped our food off, mind you our coffee mugs had been empty for about 20 minutes at that point. He never brought the refills. Our food was basically diner food, and had no flavor or seasoning. I had the two eggs meal with hash browns and white toast, I never got my toast and the server never came back for me to even ask for my toast. My partner got the chicken fried steak and he ate about half of it because it was not that great. We finished our meal without the server returning to ask if everything was ok, my partner spilled his water and no one came to clean it up or refill his water and we still didn’t have coffee lol. We had to ask a busboy to get our check which took another 5 minutes to get from the server which is when he refilled our coffee. So we paid $3.50 each for about 4 gulps of coffee each because our server couldn’t be bothered to do his job. We then had to wait 10 minutes for him to come back and run our card. Needless to say we will be saving our money and never returning. Absolute worst restaurant in ocean city.

Great breakfast spot! We went early morning and the food was great! We got pancakes for the kiddo, French toast with eggs and turkey sausage for myself, and hash brown with eggs, ham, and toast for my husband and it was so good! Supporting a small business that puts their heart into their food is so easy when it taste this delicious. Wishing this business all the best and many blessings!

Absolutely love Generals kitchen. I highly recommend everyone to eat here. I travel to Ocean City just to eat their cream of chipped beef. That's all i think about sometimes.
Mary is so amazing. Words can not describe the level of happiness she brought to my heart and belly today. Her hospitality has left a lasting impression on me. Thank you, Mary, for the French toast it was incredibly delicious it was just what i needed. Breakfast here always makes my trip worthwhile.

My dad used to take me here every morning, when my family stayed at our condo in the ‘80s. I’ve never had cream chipped beef that ever came close to tasting as good as the General’s. I think about that a lot these days.

I was really looking forward to trying General's Kitchen, but unfortunately, our experience was far from pleasant. From the moment we walked in, we felt unwelcome. The host was rude and unfriendly, making us wait outside and telling us we weren’t allowed to look for bar seating, which is first come, first serve.
After a 30-minute wait, we were finally seated at the back of the restaurant. While that wouldn’t have been an issue, we were completely forgotten for at least 15 minutes before our server arrived. She took my boyfriend’s drink order but didn’t even ask me what I wanted before walking away. When she returned, she rushed us to order food.
Things got worse when she took our IDs for the alcohol order and then claimed my ID was "no good." I’m almost 30, and there’s nothing wrong with my ID. Feeling disrespected by the service, we decided to cancel our food order and leave.
As locals who work in the service industry, we’ve never felt this disrespected at a restaurant. We will definitely not be returning to General's Kitchen!
Best chip beef. Eat there every time I am in Ocean City.

Paid $15 for a small scoop of lukewarm, flavorless gravy with a tiny amount of beef, served on ONE BISCUIT CUT IN HALF and tiny bowl of lumpy cold grits!!
Subpar, overpriced, and a huge waste of money. Greasy spoon quality food at brunch prices.
Service was lacking. Kept forgetting refills and food items in our order. They charge $3.50 for dirt water like stale coffee and charge for refills on most drinks.
ONE BISCUIT CUT IN HALF! This place used to give twice if not more food for less. Left still hungry!
Parking: Cramped lot, hard to maneuver vehicles larger than a compact sedan. Most spaces are reserved for the shop next door.
Wheelchair accessibility: Accessible parking is limited and parking lot is very small.
