Sometimes there are going to be hiccups in providing a great dining experience. We had one of these last night while dining at the Hobbit. Why a 5 star review then? The Hobbit provides an great view and wonderful atmosphere for a higher end dining experience. Luke was a fantastic waiter! Extremely attentive, engaging, and personable. The menu had some outstanding options and provided to be tasty. We ran into an issue with one of the dishes. The owner was highly engaged in resolving the situation and went beyond what we were expecting to demonstrate their commitment to providing a quality dining experience. I'll definitely be returning in the future based upon the overall normal experience that we likely would have had 999 out of 1000 times and how the Hobbit rose to the occasion on that 1 time when things did not go as expected.

Wife loved her short rib dish. However, I was disappointed with the veal pistachio. If I saw the dish before I ordered it, would have passed on it. The sauce was gooey. I had trouble cutting through the veal. Sad to report for a restaurant we typically enjoy.

The most beautiful views in all of OC. The food is 10/10, but you will definitely pay for it. There aren't many true fine dining locations in OC, but this is one. Dress up and leave the kids at home. This is definitely not a kid place, even if they are well behaved. Make sure to get a reservation. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and caters to the customer perfectly.

I went here for a friends celebration in the summer 2023. I had a yummy cocktail at the bar that was great! We moved to a table and we had exceptional service. The beef carpaccio was one of my favorite bites in OC. The rest of the food, while good, was not quite as good as I was expecting based on how popular this spot is. I plan to give it another shot but my initial trip makes me think this will be a go-to for a cocktail and a snack but not a full meal.

Well-crafted cocktails, best filet mignon I've had. I prefer my meat cooked med-well (some pink okay, no red). My steak was cooked perfectly and moist! Gorgeous view and great service. It was a wonderful meal to celebrate my birthday.

We were expecting a fabulous dining experience based on reviews from friends and we were NOT disappointed!!! Of the course the view and sunset are spectacular but the service from Matt and the food from start to finish were the stars of the evening! So happy we got to visit before the winter break. Can’t wait to return in 2024!

Simply one of the best little hidden spots (I think) in Ocean City ... say what ?. Excellent service, friendly and engaging staff, upscale look with plush decor, white linen table cloths and a comfortable vibe. Servings are plentiful and can be shared amongst guests. Appetizers & drinks were on point ... and everyones meal artfully plated. I had Crab Cakes (yum) with mashed potatoes & string beans (a lot crunchy). Food was delish, and crab cakes made without any fillers (ie. 100% lump meat). Desserts were huge and the table favorite was a 6" tall 3-layer Ice Cream tower with a chocolate cookie crust, chunks of heath bar candy bar, choc cookie, chocolate & caramel sauce -- OMG! Absolutely insane? Er'body was diggin into this massive overload of delight. This is a great spot to dine for special occasions, celebrations or simply to impress. Lastly, you won't want to miss the perfect picturesque views from the floor to ceiling windows -- so make reservations to capture the evenings gorgeous sunsets and gentle ocean waves rolling up to the shoreline. It an absolutely relaxing moment to be shared with ... (?). ?

Went at sunset for dinner. Beautiful view and service was amazing and attentive. We had the little neck clams which were in a Thai curry sauce-to die for. Must try. I enjoyed the short ribs over noodles. Coupled with the view-worth checking out for a nice dinner in Ocean City.

This checks all the boxes for an amazing dining experience. Everything that came out of the kitchen was delicious. The service was impressive and the view was spectacular. Highly recommended for a special occasion but even if it isn't, it's reasonable enough to just go anyway.

It was my birthday dinner. Nice table on the elevated part so we enjoyed the sunset. First thing I noticed was the wrinkled table cloth. Not acceptable in an upscale, expensive restaurant. Drinks were fine then we noticed on the bill an upcharge. For ice? Come on!! My husbands steak was good, I am a small eater so I order an Caesar salad first course, very ordinary. For entree I ordered the Lollipop Lamb Chops. For $27.00 they were the size of a quarter and dry. Manager supplied me with another serving which was fine. With 3 taxes and tip our bill was $216.00 Not worth it. Probably will not return.

High end restaurant that is perfect if you are celebrating a special occasion. The staff is very cute in trying to help you celebrate your occasion. They all seem like they enjoy it. So great service and of course beautifully presented and delicious multi courses served. I think they definitely hold their own when compared to Ruth's Chris's. Try it. Enjoy. I am sure you will!

Perfect experience! Our waiter, Chris, was attentive and kind. The sunset view over the bay was mesmerizing. The Smaug margarita was perfectly balanced between sour and spicy. The steaks were melt-in-your-mouth. But interestingly, the highlight was the butternut squash; best I've ever had in my life. Romantic, classic, and a little bit fun with references to the Tolkien stories. Don't miss it!
