Being from upstate NY and visiting the ocean i ate at several crab houses. I LOVE CRAB CAKES !!! Let's start there. Hooper's, ow man I just have to say that I've found the place. I had crab cakes at 3 different places. Hooper's, wow, hands down the best in the area. The king crab legs were sweet, tender and delicious. I, will definitely have Hooper's on my list every time I'm in the OCM area.so grateful for finding this restaurant. Take my word for it, EAT AT HOOPER'S...

Absolutely love this place in Ocean City, MD! If you’re looking for a good meal and a fun experience, this is the spot. The atmosphere is so laid-back and welcoming. You’ve got a massive restaurant, but the outdoor dining on the pier really steals the show. There’s even a jet rental downstairs, swings in the sand where you can just relax, boat seating, and a great little bar right over the bayside. Such a cool vibe all around.
On my latest visit, I tried the crab empanadas and took advantage of the all-you-can-eat crab. The portions were a bit small, but honestly, the crab was surprisingly meaty and flavorful. It was well-seasoned, not overly salty, which was a nice surprise. The empanadas were stuffed with crab and cheese, and had this Tex-Mex feel, really tasty! We also sampled a few local beers, which really added to the experience.
The menus are a little different inside versus out on the pier, but it’s all the same restaurant. Service was great—friendly and attentive the entire time. Just an all-around great experience. I’ll definitely be back!

I want seated in the restaurant, guess the crowd wasn't big enough. They place us outside in back of place. We sat in lil boats tied to the docks

We travel to OC MD almost yearly for 20+ years and never went to Hooper's or Sneaky Pete's so we thought we would give it a try. Hoopers was closed to general public for a wedding event so we were seated at Sneaky Pete's. Wait staff nice but slow, food mediocre. View on the water was nice but not sure we will be giving Hoopers or Sneaky Pete's another chance. Experience just wasn't what we expected and there are lots of other better food choices in the area.

I went with a large group of 10 in the off season. We were well taken care of and the staff was wonderful! Food was delicious, drinks were great. A little more on the expensive side, but we knew that going in!

Do you love fresh seafood? One of the best seafood I had in years. The freshness, the flavors are amazing! We had the all you can eat plate let me tell you about the fried chicken ( who would have thought) to die for juicy and the right about of seasoning. The hush puppies so good. The crabs sweet juicy and that kick in your mouth with those spices. I would travel to ocean city and this is my first and second stop always. Amazing environment. Views of the water. Staff is attentive. A must try (THE PORK CHOP) a show stopper.

Because it was so amazing we ate here 2 nights in a row! Between 3 of us we all ate (and sampled each others) crab Empanadas, bang bang shrimp, scallop risotto, grouper tacos, seafood platter, and the triple ( shrimp/scallops/ lobster). Every single bite was absolutely delicious! Service was quick and friendly. Decor is super cute and entertaining.

Had a quite exquisite trip At hoopers. food was delightful nice and cold when it came to the table no butter for my crab legs. That’s very good. menu was very informative ordered crab clusters ended up having four clusters on my plate which cost me $170 for me and my fiancé as the menu did not state how many clusters were in there The only good part about this place is the sweet tea is all right would highly not recommend 20% gratuity is outrageous for the service that was provided. This place is a dump and smells like one too.

All together is was a great outdoor dining experience with good seafood.
We ordered crabs and they were cold, which must’ve meant they reheated them or tried to so then they took them back and reheated them again, but forgot about them and when we reminded the bartender she brought them out and the meat was mushy like mashed potatoes. Yuck -the main thing is how can they bring out cold crabs in the first place if they’re making them fresh - I guess they’re not.
