Our family spent a really fun evening at Alley Oops. We did not eat anything but I did have some really good cocktails and spent the majority of our time bowling. The lanes are smaller than standard size but lend them selves to a heck of a lot of family fun. I haven’t bowled in years but had a wonderful time. There is a huge arcade area where the littler folk in our group had a blast winning tickets and redeeming them for the usual arcade stuff. Very friendly staff.
Very poor Fish & Chips today ( April 18, 2021 ) at Alley Oops 5500 block Ocean City. Fish was not fresh .... mushy and inedible. I advised our server who obviously did not pass my complaint along to the kitchen or to management. Disappointing for a $212 meal not including the significant arcade spend. Alley Oops is what it is .... a bar and arcade where food and service is secondary.
Came here with a large group recently and the service was good. J*** chicken sandwich was good and so were crab tots. Wings and spiced shrimp were also good. Orange and grapefruit crushes were good as well but pricey (well it’s OC...). Kids and adults alike loved the arcade and prizes. Would definitely return.
Our 9 year old wanted to celebrate his birthday here. The food was great, atmosphere hit the spot. Only drawback was that several of the games were out of order or malfunctioning. Still a great time!
We got the waffle burger and it was delicious. Website states they deliver but when called stated they’d were not. Understandable as they probably don’t have the staff so we did takeout. Our order was correct and fresh. Would definitely order again.
We had trouble finding a table in OC on a Tuesday night and were lucky to find the new Alley Oops at 56th St. The place was very clean with plenty of space between tables. It was a great atmosphere and the kids (and me) loved the shark tank. We got a variety of meals and all enjoyed them. Food was good casual dining, prices were fair. Wait staff was very friendly, knowledgeable and prompt.
Hesitant to try I wound up Wandering in to the midtown Ally Oops. There is a line to be seated at a table but there were happen to be a seat at the bar available my bartender was Regina. Honestly if it wasn’t for her I don’t think I would’ve stayed. Your pleasant attitude and creativity with mixology was spot on. And I’m a picky one. Honestly if I come back it’s just to see her sunshine face and bright spirit. Definitely an asset to the bar Atmosphere.
This was a great restaurant to sit down with family and have a good time! The menu had lots of options. I got the crab dip, it wasn't the best crab dip I ever had, but the pretzel sticks were very good. The staff was still learning, so it was a little slow. This place has a big arcade that had lots of games for kids and "big kids." The duck pin bowling alley was still under construction, but looked to be pretty cool when its done. Overall, I would go back again.
The atmosphere of Alley Oops is great. Beautiful tank with eels, fish and a shark. The televisions displaying aquatic sports and recreation are cool too. I ordered the shark juice cocktail. Great if you like sweet drinks. It comes with a toy shark filled with grenadine that you pour into your drink. The kids thought that was awesome. Crab bisque was good and I had the Rockfish tacos which were also tasty. It’s a tad bit pricey which is the reason for the four stars instead of five. Next time, we’ll check out the arcade.
We dined in on an early Sunday evening as we were heading home from OC. During the off-season, they have 50% off appetizer and some menu items on Sundays (and every other days). We shared their Epic Wings, BBQ flavor which was very good but I think they slatherd the sauce on afterward as the chicken was hot but the outside/sauce was cool. I realy enjoyed my Seared Ahi Tuna, lots of Tuna! My wife enjoyed her Crab Cake Sandwich. Our server was very attentive. Lots of free parking out front. We enjoyed the fish/shark tank and stayed to play some games afterward (see separate review).
