Kirby's is a classic OC bar with solid food. French Dip is their famous dish as well as their wings. Staff was great!

Shrimp was great, quick friendly service and the burger was really good but it was too small. I can't understand how adding more meat would take take them broke. An over sized burger would be the talk of the town.

As a high volume bartender, experienced by far the least lackluster service of a bar of this size.
Came in and was able to order two beers to start, but came in with the purpose of ordering food. The bartender was not even great at heads up service across what to me is not hard to wait on.
My wife who is also a bartender waited at the bar with the purpose of ordering food. Another party came in was trying to be polite and pointed out that she was trying to order food and the bartender responded “And”!
Twenty minutes of being ignored is unacceptable , especially when other customers point out that a patron needs to be waited on.
You don’t know who is your bar, how they are linked to you. As an owner I would recommend good business practice. Too many bartenders are entitled.
You can be sure I will be leaving one star reviews across as many social media platforms as the lowest star is one. I wish I could leave lower!

Had a bad experience there in the summer of 2024 thought that I’d give him another chance. Well, they’ve gone worse order the shrimp salad BLT and there was literally five small pieces of shrimp on the sandwich and for the life of me can’t understand why they pack a carryout order With chips and a couple of pickles slices so when you arrive home to eat it, all the chips are soggy from soaking up the pickle juice. Never again for me.

We have always loved Kirby’s, we go there a few times a year when we visit OC. The wings are the best in OC, it’s a local crowd and bartenders have always been amazing. This past weekend we had the honor of meeting Micah (bartender) and she was the kindest, most attentive, humorous bartender. We were doing a celebration for my dad’s life and she truly helped to make it so magical.

Bartender on 11/7 couldn’t help but eavesdrop a conversation our group was having and made several rude comments. Then when I asked to close out he asked me what my problem was and tried to intimidate me. He told me he wanted to see me after he got off. You would think for a town with nothing going on in the winter that this place would value their guests however they do not. Bartender may have just been intoxicated but definitely won’t be taking my business back here anytime soon.
Parking: Located in a strip of shops, plenty of parking available.
Kid-friendliness: Not kid friendly, it is a bar.

Not great, we ordered a few appetizers. Waitress is the bartender. Cook brought out the food. Seems like a local bar hangout.

Been to this establishment twice in the last few weeks and each time the service has been horrible. Had to find/ask someone for service at a booth table after sitting unattended for 15-20mins. The waiting service was not attentive. Had to ask someone to find our waitress when we were ready for the check, who never came because she was too busy taking shots at the bar with customers. Finally went to the bar to get the check and our waitress asked “what can I get you” like she didn’t know who we were. My most recent experience we sat unattended for nearly 20mins even when several staff members and just walked past our table. No waters, no menus, no ‘we’ll be with you shortly’ Even though I love the steamed shrimp and wings here, I’m not sure I’ll be back
