Phenomenal food and great service! Had a wonderful breakfast with my wife!
I am absolutely shocked at how rude the staff is here. I called 3 separate times to ask a question and each time- the staff hung up on me. It’s disgusting this is how they treat customers.

Tried Layton’s for the first time this year down at OC, definitely delivered a quality breakfast. My country fried steak was excellent, the sausage gravy was great, hot and fresh. Wife was a big fan of the Thick Buttery Waffles. Didn’t get the chance to try any of their donuts this visit, but we’ll certainly be back in the future to give them a try. Love being within walking distance to a great breakfast spot in OC.

Solid breakfast - we all got the chicken fried steak and it was a good choice. Tasty and a decent portion. Staff was nice and helpful, restaurant and bathrooms were clean. Looks like a pretty good menu overall - I'd try them again. Recommended.

***UPDATE***
We were in town for another long weekend. This time Layton's was not as good as last time. We sat immediately and our order was taken quickly but that's where the good stopped. I ordered a large fresh squeezed orange juice and when it came out it was 8oz of juice. I asked the waitress if she brought me the large and she said yes that's the large. It was $6 for 8oz of juice and it had seeds in it. You can see the picture of the tiny juice in my hand. I alsoI understand fresh squeezed but seeds should not be in the juice. Additionally, the drinks had tops on them and the waitress dropped them off and went to walk away after my question about the size and I asked how are we supposed to drink the drinks? She then grabbed 3 straws and put them on the table.
Our order was French toast, western omelet, toasted bagel and a side bacon and rye toast. I'm not exaggerating but it took 20 minutes to get our food. The restaurant wasn't busy either. My kids were asking where's our food.
Then we get the food. The side of rye was burnt so I ate those and gave my son my pieces which weren't burnt. My omelet was so greasy from the filling of ham, onions and peppers I couldn't eat the filling. I ate the eggs which weren't seasoned at all and left 50% of the ham, peppers and onions. I told the waitress it was greasy and unappetizing. Just very disappointing.

Nice local spot that can get crowded in the summer months. We came on Mother's Day and were surprised it wasn't too busy as we sat right away. The service was great and the food was better. We couldn't have asked for a more satisfying breakfast experience.

As someone who is gluten free, the food was not great. The wait time was not that bad though.

The chocolate chip pancakes were delicious along with my service at the restaurant! It was very good except for the fact that it was really busy when I went causing a 15-20 minutes bug was definitely worth it for the food!

We stopped at Layton's on 92nd for breakfast with a group of eight and overall had a great experience. The food was solid all around, and the menu was definitely a highlight — creative dish names and plenty of options made it fun to order and explore something new.
The kids especially enjoyed the coloring pages and crayons, which helped keep them entertained while we waited for the food. A thoughtful touch for families!
We sat outside, which had nice ambiance, but the sun was intense during our visit. Unfortunately, the umbrella at our table was fixed in place, so we weren’t able to adjust it for better shade. That made things a little uncomfortable as the meal went on. It would be great if future seating allowed for some flexibility with shade, especially during the hotter hours.
One other note — the lighting in the restroom was surprisingly dim, making it a bit difficult to see. Not a major issue, but definitely noticeable.
All in all, a good breakfast spot with character and a family-friendly vibe. With a few small tweaks for comfort, it would be an easy five-star experience

Great food, had thr seafood omelet. Good chunks of crab and shrimp in it. Hollandaise sauce on top was great. Good blood Mary drinks! Parking can be tight. Had about 16 min wait at 0930 on a Sunday.

This place is my go-to breakfast spot with my family when we are at the ocean. We love every detail about this place. The fish tanks kept my little ones entertained while we were eating. The Donuts and Peach Pancakes are phenomenal.
