Tried Layton’s for the first time this year down at OC, definitely delivered a quality breakfast. My country fried steak was excellent, the sausage gravy was great, hot and fresh. Wife was a big fan of the Thick Buttery Waffles. Didn’t get the chance to try any of their donuts this visit, but we’ll certainly be back in the future to give them a try. Love being within walking distance to a great breakfast spot in OC.
Solid breakfast - we all got the chicken fried steak and it was a good choice. Tasty and a decent portion. Staff was nice and helpful, restaurant and bathrooms were clean. Looks like a pretty good menu overall - I'd try them again. Recommended.
***UPDATE***
We were in town for another long weekend. This time Layton's was not as good as last time. We sat immediately and our order was taken quickly but that's where the good stopped. I ordered a large fresh squeezed orange juice and when it came out it was 8oz of juice. I asked the waitress if she brought me the large and she said yes that's the large. It was $6 for 8oz of juice and it had seeds in it. You can see the picture of the tiny juice...
