We chose Marlin Moon for our two-year anniversary and planned an entire staycation around this dinner because of the amazing reputation. We arrived about 30 minutes early and were kindly accommodated. The hostess acknowledged our anniversary and specifically said she would seat us somewhere with some privacy, placing us at a corner table away from the other guests. That thoughtful start made us feel special and set the tone for what we hoped would be an intimate celebration.

First the atmosphere was not at all what we expected. I guess we expected views. They have none except the side street. The overall vibe is mid-range hotel breakfast bar. Artwork was wrapped with foil paper for the holidays. IOW minimal effort to create a festive mood. We could see there were problems when we entered and one of the hosts came back to his station with a Cesar salad. He sat down to eat at the check-in area while the hostess seated us. My wife and I are fans of the restaurant and were pleasantly surprised by everything served as part of the Thanksgiving buffet. The only thing I didn't care for were the oysters, I also felt the turkey was a bit dry, but nothing a delicious gravy didn't fix. Other than that, everything else on the menu, the drinks, and the service was wonderful. Will definitely do this again.
