Food was good!.. Surprised that the wife asked what they had for dessert.. carrot cake and some kind of chocolate cake..👍👍!.. ( I'd go back just for dessert!)..Service was top-notch that night, too.

In 15 years of travels and exploring restaurants around the country (and Europe), this is by far the worst ran, most unprofessional and most disrespectful ownership I’ve ever seen. I’ve see some terrible behavior, but nothing like this. Part of a group of kids baseball, reservation and details were coordinated days in advance. This was not us just dropping in there and asking to sit a big group. Understanding we were a fairly big group, we ordered quickly and were very patient. Waiting an hour for food is a long time regardless of the size of the group, but we remained patient. Almost 2 hours after ordering and waiting, we inquired about the status of the food several times and received no real timeline or confidence that the food was about to come out. At no point management approached us to say anything at all during a 2 hour wait. At that point we decided to pay for what we had been served and go get food somewhere else. All we got was an unprofessional and disrespectful owner yelling at us and then calling the police on us stating that we said we were leaving without paying. Police arrived as the last few families were paying and we were all astonished of what was going on. Bottom line, somehow ownership wasn't prepared to have a busy night on a Saturday night and instead of communicating with us throughout the night or flat out not accepting our group (coordinated days in advance) he decided to act like it was all our fault for coming with a group to give them thousands of dollars of business. He even stated that on his response to another comment. Why would we expect food to take less than 2 hours. Ive been to restaurants in work groups Of 40-50 people and in has never been like this. Sometimes it does take an extended time which is understandable but every single time management handled it very well with constant communication. All we got from here was the police. Waiting staff were good and were trying hard, but not much they could do. Talking with some other folks there and some other customers, it sounds like this behavior from ownership is not a new thing. Very unfortunate to say the least and also scary for the kids.

Wow. The wait staff is friendly, but just horrible management. We were part of a large 8-year old baseball team and after waiting for nearly 2 hours for our food where only half the kids got their food, we ended up asking to just pay the bill for the drinks and the few meals we did receive. The owner came out and berated us. As we were at the cashier paying our bills with the waiter, we were shocked to see that he had CALLED THE POLICE on us!?! It was as bizarre as it was rude and scary for the kids. But after reading how the management responds to customers on here with abusive and condescending remarks, it makes sense he behaves like this. This should have been a simple, I’m sorry for the 2 hour wait; I can see that you have lots of children here that are very hungry, we will try to get your orders out shortly or if you need to leave at this point, since it’s now so late at night, we won’t charge you for the food you haven’t received yet. Just insane.

The food was awful!! We saw a sign for ribs and chicken $19.99 and decided to give it a try The rib sauce was horrible and the chicken tasted old . When the bill came he said 29.99 That the deal was only when Football games are played !! Not clear from sign at all
My response to Nick : I clearly asked for the rib and chicken" special". The chicken tasted bad , the ribs were horrible tasting. the fries had way too much salt ...the corn was mushy The HUGE sign said NFL acye rib and chicken special...is that clear ???? Your response as the owner speaks volumes Read your other reviews ..there are alot saying the same as I have written ... On a positive note ..my waiter was very nice and the dinner rolls were wonderful

We have been coming to Nicks for 15 years and look forward to it every year when my sister and I bring our dad for our annual father/daughter weekend. This year we were very disappointed with our meal and service. We didn't realize ownership has changed. I ordered prime rib, as a chef, I do know that prime rib should not look or be be tough like liver. If I'm paying $40 for prime rib, that's what I'd like to get.. very disappointed and sad that we will not be returning next year.

I haven't been to OCMD in over a decade but the one place I remember eating was Nick's. I couldn't wait to eat there again as it was so good in the past. What a let down!! The ribs weren't even hot when we got them, lacked flavor and were very underwhelming. Our waiter also never came back to see if anyone at our table wanted another beer, or a soda refill. Just a mediocre meal all around.
Onion loaf was filling. Beef brisket was tender. However, there was very little smokeyness in the meat

Had heard about Nick's and had to try it Was not a disappointment at all! Ribs were fall of the bone delicious and the flat bread could feed 3 people. Our waiter whose name starts with an M ,was very courteous and most helpful!!! Definitely a place to experience!!!!
