OC Poke Sushi & Teriyaki House

I have to agree with the previous reviews, this place is completely misleading and absolutely below mid. The atmosphere and surrounding pictures make you think you’re getting some authentic food. But the quality and service is equivalent to what you can expect from a Burger King or McDonalds. Our group tried the rolls, ramen, chicken teriyaki and bake chicken fired rice. The only redeeming item is the coke you get from the refrigerator. The ramen doesn’t include corn, scallions, dried seaweed or soft boiled eggs as the menu claims it does. Instead you get miso broth with some packet noodles and a hard boiled egg. The chicken teriyaki was rubbery and had no flavor, the highway roll is indeed canned tuna, and the tapioca in the Thai iced tea is mushy like it’s been soaking for too long. I would avoid this place completely at all costs and save your money for somewhere else.

When I saw this restaurant had ramen. I was super excited to try it . Unfortunately ,this ramen sucks so bad even the pack ones taste better , instead of jammy eggs you get hard boiled eggs . Writing this review about the ramen disgusts me to the core.
I do not recommend this restaurant at all.
The service wasn’t even the best and the staff not friendly at all.

This place is very misleading. Took my family there with hopes of a nice Full service experience and was pleasantly surprised to learn, they do NOT serve NOR wait on you. They offer basically to-go containers for all selections. Young girl at the register was NOT friendly and stayed on her Mobile device as I'm asking her questions. Very disengaged. FYI Food doesn't have the Authentic style NOR care that I'm accustomed too - so do NOT go there thinking you will get authentic style Soup. Its AT or BELOW average as with their Food selections.

The tiny spicy tuna rolls were made with canned tuna, which was disappointing considering they had fresh tuna available for poke. The Hawaiian poke bowl wasn’t what I expected the texture was mushy even with the cucumber trying to ad some snap. We also had a long wait for our food due to the dinner rush.

On the positive side, the ramen bowls were excellent. Unfortunately, the poke was slightly above average at best; none of us finished it, and we didn’t take it back to the hotel.

The girl who took our order should not deal with the public at all. Her demeanor was standoffish and non welcoming. That should have been my hint to leave but I ordered anyway. What a letdown. The rice and lo mein were underseasoned. My kids enjoyed the sushi burrito but everything else was underwhelming. The prices were decent but you get what you pay for.

The Eel teriyaki is a very generous portion and perfect for the person who loves eel rolls but wants something different. Perfect honeydew bubble tea for those who know how good the Melona melon bars are--same excellent taste you'll recognize.

Out of all of the sushi restaurants I’ve been to on the eat coast, this is one of the best values without sacrificing quality. Everything was perfectly prepared and tasted fresh. Let me be clear; this is not a high-end or ritzy establishment. This is where you go in your casual clothes to get some good food at a good price with no nonsense. Everything we ordered we were very happy with, with the bubble tea being a fan favorite.
I would say the atmosphere is pretty standard for this type of establishment. There are minimal decorations, however everything was clean and simple. The staff we interacted with were very friendly, however they don’t have servers. You order at the counter or from a phone.
