Honestly, this review kills me. I've been coming to Ocean City Maryland for years since I was a kid in the early 2000s. One of my earliest memories of Ocean City Maryland was of Paul Revere Smorgasbord on the boardwalk. Walking down the steps and into the building to get an awesome colonial vibe (it isn't called Paul Reveres for nothing). The giant buffets with many items to choose from, the friendly staff, the amazing desserts and decent enough prices. My family and I loved it so much it was more or less a staple when we would visit. The thing is, with each consecutive visit it seemed to dip more in quality. I visited on a trip in July 2009, it was still pretty good. Once again on a trip in July 2013 and it wasn't as good as it was in previous visits. The latest time was a day trip in July 2018 and this is where things began to get murky. The food wasn't the best, service was ok. It wasn't worth the price anymore. We figured maybe the 5 year gap would change that one off experience in 2013 but it wasn't the case and others have agreed. It got to the point where I was on vacation in Ocean City MD last month from 10/9-10/11/20 and we didn't even stop in Paul Revere Smorgasbord at all which we have never done before. This is why this review kills me because I love this place or what it used to be. I know everyone and place has its rough patches so I hope Paul Revere can turn itself around and the next time I visit I can update this review and label it as a true return to form. Until then, it has fallen from what it used to be.

Place was disgusting. Food had been sitting out and our entire group was displeased. Seats and table were sticky. One member Of our group found what they referred to as a "pubic hair" in thier food. Charged us a 20% tip on the bill for our "waiter" and another tip because we were in a larger group. Saw a rat run across the floor. When the staff could tell we were displeased they offered for us to take as many mints as we'd like and 2 free koozies to a group of 10 of us. There was pee all over the bathroom floor and a dead roach.

Some of the food was okay and some was stuff we were not into. The dessert was the best food they had. The staff was very friendly. Unfortunatly we saw rotting fruit and that was displeasing.

Absolutely disgusting is just about what sums this place up. I should've asked for a refund but i tried to see if there was anything edible. They had just opened and everything looked days old. The waiter was slow and unfriendly. I watched them dump fresh food on top of black nasty dried up food. The place smelled super musty. I will wholeheartedly say i will NEVER eat here again even if someone else pays. This is the worst food ive ate in a long time i reccomend steering clear at all costs as you just might wind up sick!!!! Id give zero if they'd let me and I'd like to be contacted by a manager if they read their reviews.

Could be one of the worst restaurants I have even been in. First off, the pricing on TripAdvison was $12.99 per adult, price on bill $19.99 per adult but giving a 15% discount so only $16.99. we go there within an hour or opening. We had 4 different hot food items that were cold to the touch, almost all food was over cooked and dried out. The establishment was dingy and smelled musty. The only good thing about this place was the waitress who was very polite and helpful. would never go back or reccomend to anyone. I would have rather fast food than this.
