Went to this restaurant last night. My sister ordered stuffed flounder. I am not sure what they brought out. One bite and she almost puked. It was mushy, had a foul odor and whatever the brown stuff was in the middle was definitely not crab imperial. The waitress did take it off the bill. DO NOT ORDER THIS!

My steak was not cooked correctly (overcooked). No big deal asked the waiter if they could correct it- I understand this is a hassle as I have worked service industry for many years, however when you are spending money for a meal you want it cooked correctly. The manager came out and was so nasty and condescending making it seem like we did not order the steak correctly and it was cooked perfect because “he’s been a chef”. The meal/atmosphere was completely ruined after that. We won’t be back.
We really enjoyed our server and the waitstaff was very attentive to us and our children when we first sat down. We all had high hopes! We witnessed another table having issues with said manager and dirty to-go containers. Trust me. Go somewhere else.

The Penne Baltimore was sub-par. The sauce was tasteless but the shrimp was good. The penne was well passed el dante. The potatoes in the loaded potato soup were not fully cook. We thought we'd bring it home and microwave it, but the containers were previously used and were full of greasy residue. The manager came over but was condescending and we were the second customer who complained about the food in our section.

We had a few meals here and the waitstaff was lovely. We had Maddie as a bartender and she was *amazing*. We also enjoyed the male bartender (sorry I forget his name). The male manager, with the short, spiky hair was a little off putting. When I wanted to give a compliment and asked if he was the manager he gave me an attitude. The bartender outside also gave a little attitude at 9 PM. But overall, we enjoyed the food and our time.

Our waitress was very attentive as was the manager. Our table had salad with tuna and short ribs. Both were excellent. Topped off with hot fudge sundaes. What great endings to a totally satisfying dining experience.

What a pleasant surprise to find tucked into the Carousel Resort. Real-world standards, high quality ingredients. A who seems to be bringing cuisine you'd expect to find in a big cuisine to OC. Returned several times over the season. Short ribs over polenta is a favorite. Seafood pasta was excellent. Hoping this trend continues!

I recently had dinner reservations for a party of four at Reef 118. While the food was very good and offered great value, there were several issues that will prevent me from returning. Firstly, the service was severely lacking. Although our server was friendly, we barely saw her throughout our meal. Additionally, the music from outside was excessively loud, making it difficult to have a conversation without shouting. I regret not reading the ratings and comments before booking. I hope the management sees this feedback and addresses these problems. This restaurant has the potential to be excellent if the owner and management team are willing to make some improvements.

Our appetizer was the Brussels sprouts and they were frozen in the middle. We had to ask for more drinks, never received bread with dinner. To top it off we had to ask them if they served dessert. My daughter did order off of the dessert menu on to watch her ice cream melt as she waited for a spoon. One and done would not recommend. We all had filet mignon, which was ok not seared on outside. All in all not what I expected. Disappointed ?

None of their service staff is trained properly they hire summer employees only people that are just trying to get through the summer as fast as possible with no actual genuine care for hospitality. Please go elsewhere if you want a satisfying dining experience. The short rib was the greatest I've ever had but it's not worth it if you really want great food take it to go

The food was delicious and the place clean. The management working hard to make sure all the diners were enjoying their evening. Just a bit of a language, and or understanding of our request from the server. Though we enjoyed him as he was pleasant, and he worked hard to understand. It just took a few attempts to make request clear. All in all a great server who I am sure will improve as summer progresses. We look forward to our next visit and dinner there.

Stay away!! Terrible experience for breakfast service. Waited way too long to the point we were going to walk out. Another waitress took out order who was very attentive. Hot chocolate in a plastic to go cup with a straw - really!! Manager was supposed to visit the table but never showed up. Buffet was so unappealing I did not even eat. My family ate, food was overpriced and looked terrible. 20% gratuity automatically added in even though the service and food was terrible. The waitress again said she was going to talk to the manager about the bill, and the manager would stop by the table. No show a 2nd time. Wow- this place needs new management.
