Route 66 Diner – Ocean City, MD

This place is top-notch! The food is incredibly fresh — I had the Cobb salad, and it was hands down the best I’ve ever had. Everything tasted crisp, flavorful, and made with real care.

Our waiter Danny was absolutely amazing — super professional, friendly, and attentive. He made our visit even better. Honestly, he deserves a raise! 👏

I visited the Route 66 Diner in the off-season, so it may not be representative. While the menu is a typical “diner” combination breakfast items, sandwiches, burgers, pizza, and a few entrees, you won’t find the typical huge menu like most diners. Service was attentive but the temperature in the dining room was chilly. All food in OC is all overpriced, but these folks are a bit less than some. Was looking for someplace quiet to have dinner. Stopped by Wednesday evening around 7. Was met and greeted at the door by a friendly gentleman who welcomed me and took me to my table, letting me decide where to sit. (Offseason weeknight not too full.)
