On 9/2/23, my family checked in at the Princess Royale at approximately 5pm (room 103 Oceanfront Beach Access Room w/ kitchenette). Upon arrival back to our room later that evening, my son informed me that he saw a bug in the kitchen, when I went to inspect it was gone. The next day, 9/3/23, after spending the day out when we returned to our room and turned on the lights, there were ROACHES CRAWLING EVERYWHERE, all over the counters, sink, stove, bathroom floor, Keurig, walls, and the food items that we purchased. Immediately, we called the front desk and reported the problem. We were told that no other rooms were available, and that housekeeping could come “spray the room”. When finally speaking to the front desk manager, “Jessica” I was told that I could only get refunded for Sunday because I did not call on Saturday. She even tried to silence me so that other patrons could not hear me saying that the hotel is infested with roaches! There was no attempt to accommodate our personal loss of food purchased that was now roach infested, nor did anyone even apologize for the inconvenience. This is the WORST customer service that I have ever experienced, and this hotel is INFESTED with ROACHES (SEE PICTURES, wish I could post the videos too!)

Hubby and I wanted to get away before the school year started. this place on line looks great but some things were not to our liking. Bell hop n Check-in was great though. However, upon entering the room the entire floor was full of sand n small fast bugs in bathroom counter. I squished the bugs and called down to have service sweep the floor. Went down to the beach and had a nice time. Day 2 many fast bugs in bathroom n a 1/2 " ant (grim behind the coffee machine in kitchen area too) went and complained ( manager said someone would come up to spray and I waited but no one showed, she did give us a $100 room credit which I found out the last night could only be used at the restaurants not the gift shop or the Starbucks on premises I must have missed the manager telling me that). Day 2 n 3 the cleaning staff filled up the elevators with their carts and employees and WE had to wait to get on . Room fan remote didn't work n even an employee had a tough time getting the a/c controls to work right. Day 4 flat sheet cover in bed got messed up n when I went to fix I saw on the mattress cover there was blood (that should have been thrown out if it couldn't be cleaned or if you were trying to hide it put it down by the feet) DISGUSTING. Our last night we went to the pool at 8:55 saw sign "9-10 adult swim". Well at 9:20 kids were still in the pool. We left to get changed only to find that the door to the elevator which has a sign doors will be locked at 11PM we're already locked at 9:45. The only good thing was that we saw a very nice firepit and sat for a bit before returning to our rooms. For the price they charged for king corner balcony it wasn't worth it.

On 9/2/23 my husband and I left Philly to go to Ocean city MD. Once we arrived to Maryland we tried several hotels who were either full or wanted to charge us a ridiculous price. It was 99% full everwhere. No one was willing to work with us at all. it was also very late and we were exhausted and needed a place to stay. No one accommodated us accept princess royale with a Beautiful/clean room right to the pool. We were able to walk out of our bedroom right into their Pool room. they also had an excellent gorgeous view of the ocean. we ate breakfast at one of their restaurants, and the food was delicious with the beautiful view of the ocean. We stayed our entire weekend and enjoyed it immensely. thank you, princess Royal, for an excellent first stay, and we will be coming back more often to this hotel. See pics after. We forgot to take pics before we

I had an incredible stay at this hotel! The facilities were spotless, and the pool was simply amazing. Our room was not only spacious but impeccably clean, making us feel right at home. The staff, particularly "Maryam" at the front desk, went above and beyond. Her professionalism, warm smile, and helpful attitude made our experience truly memorable. Our family had a blast, and we can't wait to return for another fantastic stay.

The front desk/reception staff is incredible. I arrived on a late August afternoon with my family and a guest and needed an extra room. The hotel was very, very crowded and almost booked to capacity, I believe. Jessica, the Front Desk Manager, went out of her to assist Zoriana who was registering me and lent her expertise in making sure I was accommodated to the greatest extent. What a relief! I thought I was going to have to find another room somewhere else. Wonderful and timely customer service!!

The staff gets 5 stars, but the facility needs some upgrades. This is our 3rd time staying in the family 2 bedroom suites. Each year the rooms get shabbier than last. Our grands love the indoor pool and we love the proximity to the beach but we will not do the family suites anymore. We are going to try individual rooms next year and hope for better rooms- if not we will be finding another hotel. Ahmed at the front desk was awesome!!

First off. Property is non-smoking and visitors do not care. Could not utilize our porch without a strong order of cigarette and pot smells at night, every night . A big reason we chose this resort was for the strong no smoking policy but guess no one cares. Wish visitors who smoked would abide by these rules and they don’t care. just because you want to infect your lungs I don’t want to smell it. We called to complain or ask for a truly non smoking room. Doesn’t seem the hotel cares. Also outdated rooms for 400-500$ a night. The Marriott and Hilton were 300$ a night. I’ve been coming here since 2013 and this will be my very last.

This resort is beautiful, relaxing, and had comfortable beds! We stayed in an ocean front queen suite on the third floor. It was well maintained and spacious. The view was spectacular! Direct access to the beach was awesome. There is a large indoor pool in a very nice atrium with lots of seating and outside loungers on the lawn by the dunes. We loved the vibe at the Current bar/restaurant on the large patio with ocean views and live music all day into the night. There is an onsite coffee shop serving Starbucks coffee etc. Plenty of garage parking. It is very walkable to other restaurants and pubs across the street or a block up the street. The staff onsite are very friendly and helpful. A special shout out to Maryam and Jessica (both so nice and helpful) at the front desk and to Hamza who helped move our luggage and helped put it in the car. We loved the personal touch at this resort. We will definitely be returning and can't wait! It was an overall enjoyable experience.

We really enjoyed the pool/atrium suites refresh. I’ve been coming to this resort off and on since I vacationed as a kid myself. So I’ve seen the old furnishings and decor throughout the years. It was a pleasant surprise to see it all redone. My 3 kids and their 3 cousins also enjoyed their stay. Beach was lovely and we found a spot near the water’s edge without great difficulty. All of this was nice but beyond that the staff that are now providing customer service at the front desk really made the difference. Ahmed at the front desk was cheerful and welcoming and made us feel like we were being heard at check in. However it was definitely JESSICA that inspired me to draft this review. She was so patient and in tune to just how to handle an issue that popped up for us while traveling. My oldest daughter was really lethargic since checking in on Sunday and by this morning (Tuesday) she had an extremely rough night. We decided we needed to call “vacation” quits a day early. Jessica handled us with such care, concern and expedience, that it was an amazing enough experience to take pen to this review promptly upon my return home. I really hope beyond the cosmetic updates that Princess Royale completed they will continue this emphasis on putting the right people on the front line of their brand. Thanks for a wonderful experience!

We were recent guests of the Princess Royale, counting back I think we have been coming to this hotel for over 25 years. Why do we come back, they take care of the facilities, you can always find the maintenance staff working on something, improving something. It is clean, they have upgraded the rooms as needed. It is convenient for the beach, you walk out the back doors, over the sand dune and the beach is there. The staff is always friendly and responsive to your needs. This year I spoke with Ahmed several different times about things and each time he was responsive answering my questions and always courteous and gracious. Two items I wished for, one for a charging station or plug on the nightstand in the bedroom and two, I missed the tables in the atrium area, we often would spend our evening there playing games and visiting. We found another place to place but missed spending time in the atrium. By far the best place to stay, and the best staff.

The Front Desk/Check-In Crew are the BEST. Specifically Krystal, Jessica and Laura (or was it Lauren?). We checked in on a Thursday and after getting to my suite I realized that it was not the type of suite that I desired. Krystal informed me that the type of suite I wanted would be available the next day for the remaining 2 days of our stay. The next morning I was able to change suites with no hassle! That’s what I consider customer service of the highest degree.

We come here every year on Easter through the spring break week and we are currently here now, I will start by staying we will return next year because all years past have been good, but so far this years experience had been rough. First off we always get a pool level room because we have young kids and being able to walk out right to the pool is great, one week before check in they called us and said that they are renovating the pool level rooms and they are not available. They did “upgrade” us to a ocean view which is nice but with kids the pool level is our main attraction to the hotel. That is what it is, but when we arrived i just say the front desk manager was very rude and cold and when we got to our room it was not very clean. The pool bar was closed, and also the restaurant bar, so why am I paying a resort price? So far a rough start to a place I give a good amount of money to every year. Hopefully it gets better. ** Update. So this is our last day and i will add the entire time we were here the pool bar, hotel store, and main restaurant were not open at all. Very disappointing. I realize it is off season, but we come this time every year and never has everything been closed the entire stay. Also our room was not cleaned once the entire stay, and it was not all that clean when we checked in. Hopefully this is a off year because we do come here every year and I don’t want to find a different resort.

Great hotel. I have been staying there multiple times per year since 2016. They are also renovating many rooms as well! Great views of the ocean or the atrium with a pool! I have made a business acquaintance with Iryna Poliakovska - the assistant general manager of the hotel. She has always answered my questions, gives me straightforward answers, provided me, the service that every guest deserves, and has always provided, and make sure the hotel provides the best service possible.
