Satellite Breakfast Restaurant and Pool Bar

Breakfast was decent Sysco breakfast but the seasonal fruit cup for $7 is this? 🥴
(Minus the 3 piece of fruit bite I took.) also the old hash browns were better they were the thin sliced potato’s and onions grilled. Now it’s thicker potato cuts that are deep fried.

French toast was tasteless and cardboard like texture. B(E)LT had lettuce spines and a request for dippy egg was denied! Omelet was tasteless and spongy. 3 meals, 3 complaints. Won't return.

This is supposedly owned by the same satellite on 46th where the French toast is amazing. However this one was AWFUL

Terrible dry french toast, miss what this used to be. When they lost the amazing Cook that was there for years it all changed. They cut back on everything (no name jelly) to pinch a penny. Bought what seems like old dry thin bread instead of what french toast should be. Yuck! Family and I wont be back.

A hidden gem at the Howard Johnson hotel. Friendly service, delicious breakfast & great atmosphere. I highly recommend eating here.

This is our second time visiting this hotel and café. We've ordered breakfast here and we've had food delivered to the pool. If Ali is working the bar asking him about the purple haze drink, if you love mojitos you'll love the purple haze.

We waited a bit for food- they might be understaffed but you'll barely notice. Waitstaff was still very attentive. $10 cocktails are a bit pricey, but mixed well. Food was quite tasty and they accommodated us by offering breakfast for dinner. Pretty standard pricing for the boardwalk.

The Bloody Marys here were hands down the best I’ve ever had! The bartender, Ali was fantastic—super friendly, engaging, and genuinely welcoming. He went out of his way to make sure we were taken care of, and we had some great conversations that made us feel right at home. The vibe of the place is cool and inviting. I’d absolutely come back again—highly recommended!

Me and my wife came to Satellite Diner for for breakfast and was amazingly delicious and loaded plenty food enough to fill me up the entire day. Breakfast potatoes were the best and French toast. Definitely will be back. Love the atmosphere and the dining near the pool. Definitely recommend this place. 👌

The staff is absolutely amazing. They made us feel like family all week while we were there. The food is also so delicious, we had both breakfast and their lunch/dinner foods. Great place and reasonably priced. Highly recommend!!

We stopped in for a couple of drinks and the poolside bar was full. Bartender gave us a table and our waitress was nice. Took a while for the drinks and they were excellent. We went back for breakfast the next morning and it was not so good. Forgot our bacon, shouldn't be hard when you order bacon and eggs. No spoon to stir my coffee, and the food was luke warm. I wouldn't recommend anything but drinks here.

Ordered take out - pancakes and tenders for my kids. While we were picking up, I kindly asked how many syrups were in the bag and I was told he had put 4. Came back in to the room and found out there was only one syrup in the three piece pancakes. I walked back to the restaurant and asked for more, server/manger tells me 3 piece pancakes only serves with one package syrup. I asked to buy more syrup and he charges me $4.15 for four packages syrups. Most unreasonable pricing, and not even that, the so called manger was cutting the toast with his bare hands that was touching register and everything else, to be on the plate that was going to serve to a customer. Most unsanitary and if he is a manager, i don’t know how he would control other sanitary conditions. We’ve been going to this restaurant for years and has gone down hill since new owners came in. Very disappointing and unsatisfactory. Will not be patronizing this establishment again.
