Sunset Grille has an inviting marina side atmosphere. There is an expansive deck for outside dining. The staff is very attentive. My group ordered various crab appetizers... The crab dip is amazing, as is the cream of crab soup. The sauce on the crab imperial was broken, so it was more oily than creamy. The toasted ciabatta that accompanied the aps was warm and toasty. We ordered crab cake sandwiches. They were fine but not as good as some of the other local places in the area. The French fries are some of the best I've had. Super crisp outside and creamy inside. The pricing was what you would expect for fresh crab at the beginning of the season. The portions are generously sharable.Parking: Parking is just outside the front entrance. The lot is clean, landscapeed, and well maintained. There are plenty of spaces with numerous handicapped spaces.

We have eaten here so many times over the years and have never been disappointed! This visit was again, wonderful! Of course they are known for outstanding dinners and crab imperial, but lunch today was very generous portion of fish and chips that was absolutely delicious! Can't wait to go back next time we're in town.

You can enjoy the beautiful view of the marina, come enjoy the sunset or listen to a music band in the summer.We’ve ordered the lamb lollipops, blackened garlic shrimp, hawaiian BBQ shrimp, Mahi fingers, lump crab imperial, Caribbean chicken quesadilla, sweet Asian sesame wings, vine-ripened tomato (which is a Caprese salad), the peppercorn-crusted steak and of course, the pie in a jar. A lot of food, I know, but we just LOVE showcasing local food on our Never Dunn Eating page on YouTube, Instagram and Facebook.Everything was DELICIOUS! Such fresh, beautiful flavours, and wonderful service. Stacey was our server and was so kind and personable. We’ve also interacted with Kurt, the manager, and he was such a pleasant person. We stopped by on a whim a few years a go and had a wonderful experience. We drove almost 4 hours just to visit again. Everything we ate was delicious - crab cakes, burger, pulled pork, caeser salad. My family also really liked the baked beans side. Sunset Grille is one of the best in OC.

Sunset Grille is, truly, one restaurant that you need to experience. Make a reservation because this hot spot is very popular. Why? We took my wife’s cousin for a birthday dinner. We were met at the front desk with a cheerful hostess that quickly led us to our table. In a few seconds, Mitchell, our waiter greeted us with water and menus then asked if anyone would care for a drink of another kind. He carefully went over the dinner specials of the evening and asked if anyone was thinking of an appetizer. Our ordering process went smoothly and attention was given to be accurate. All of our dinners were brought out hot and delicious. Mitchell was keen to be sure our drinks were full and that we were satisfied. The evening was a resounding success and we all went home with smiles on our faces. This was no fluke. Every visit to Sunset Grille ends the same way.

Upscale service with a smile. Party of two on a weeknight, with no wait. Food was tasty with quality ingredients. Ordered the cheddar rolls, soft inside with a nice golden crust. Blackened shrimp with a killer garlic cream sauce and foccacia bread. Greek salad had fresh veggies, olives, pepperoncini, feta, and dressing. Devoured it. On to the crabcake sandwich with bacon and shrimp salad with a side of crab cake. Quality crab cake, virtually all crab, and perfect. Maybe the best I've had. Coupled with the bacon and shrimp salad in the roll, was perfectly balanced. Siffice it to say, there was nothing left on our plates. Almost all desserts are house made. Seemingly can't go wrong with any selection. We went light, and shared the creme brulee with the toffee crunch cookie. Perfect way to end the meal. Our waitress was the friendly, prompt, and thoughtful!
