The Jungle Bar & Restaurant

My favorite spot of all time in OC. Its a shame this is it's last year. Jake the bartender is awesome. I can't say enough about this bar!!

This diamond had it all! Fabulous food with the best crab mountain anyone could ever imagine. Filet or lobster cooked to perfection and YET the board members will NOT renew their lease.
After 21 years and thousands of satisfied customers, they must close at this location. Please tell us all where you are going. I take the NJ ferry to dine with you and I will continue to dine with you.

The Jungle Bar is located on the deck at The Plaza condos. The restaurant is inside on the 1st floor. The outside bar is bar typical bar food. The inside restaurant is upscale casual with excellent food, heavy on the seafood. Both are closing at the end of the 2024 season.

Just a place we came across while on vacation so we stopped in for dinner, great service, waitress brewed us fresh coffee and the food was good.

Parking: Some big potholes in the parking lot.

Ordered a hotdog and the waitress just plopped it in front of me and walked away. When I asked for ketchup and mustard and relish, I was asked, very abruptly if there's anything else? My friend had sand in her drink. Another friend had issues with her check the last two times she was there. The service was terrible for some reason.

This is the ultimate beach bar. We stay at the Plaza every year, and at least half the reason is for the jungle bar. Their crab mountain and sandwich is unbeatable, the service is quick and friendly, and the drinks are top shelf quality everytime. Jake and Joe are phenomenal bartenders, with the personalities to match, along with each and every member of the staff. 5 stars hands down, thanks guys!

Best part about staying at the Plaza on 98th. Drinks on the beach and awesome bar food. Reasonable prices and a wonderful staff.

I was a bit disappointed. Prices are high but my frozen drinks were not good and my over priced Natural lights were all warm. Service was friendly but slow. Beautiful view of the beach but hard to get sun on this deck so if you prefer shade then this bar offers plenty of it. Large deck area so never felt crowded. Indoor with AC and out door bar and dining. If your not a hotel gues you can use the pool and while there is free parking you must park on roof pad, come in and get a parking ticket then walk by out (quite a walk) to place ticket on your dash. They do have live music. Family oriented. I did not get a chance to try their food. I visited this place twice. We heard a rumor that the outside tiki bar may not reopen next year.

Parking: If you are not a guest, park on roof top parking pad then go to guard shaft and get a free parkimg ticket for Jungle then walk ot back out to your car and put on dash.

Wheelchair accessibility: Plenty of room.

I have been coming here for almost a decade and the guy serving us got mad over a literal single bite left of a personal sandwich and decided not to serve our group. He said it was his first summer here but refuses to serve paying customers who were literally sitting at the bar and more than willing to tip. I work in the service industry and understand a bad day, but the fact that he would stop serving us and cut off the rest of our party over 1 bite left in a sandwich is unacceptable. I hope management handles this!!!

My wife and I were walking along the beach around 99th St when we heard a band playing some really good music at a beach bar. What a cool little hidden gem this turned out to be! There is more than enough room on their outdoor patio for plenty of people. The wait staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu, both food and drinks. That was a nice stop on our walk on the beach. We had a few drinks and listened to some cool tunes and continued on our way. I definitely recommend stopping in if you are on a beach stroll

Joe was the BEST bartender/server at the outdoor bar area. He was fast, attentive, and an overall great person. Any establishment would be honored to have Joe be a member of their team. We are grateful for the opportunity to meet Joe and to have have him serve us. We can’t wait to visit him again!!!
