I used to love this restaurant but, it seems to be going downhill. Saturday morning I ordered the scrambled eggs, home fries, sausage and toast meal. I Received only one sausage link that was so burnt I had trouble piercing it with the fork. The homes fries weren't crisp they were black. Very disappointing.

The Kitchen in Ocean City, MD is a charming throwback to the 1970s, with its cozy, wood-paneled diner vibe and welcoming atmosphere. They’re open daily from 7:00 AM to 1:00 PM, making it a perfect spot for breakfast or lunch before hitting the beach.
The menu is full of hearty, homestyle dishes, sweet and savory classics done right. I tried the breakfast tacos and they were absolutely delicious. The portion was satisfying, and everything tasted fresh and well-prepared.
The staff were genuinely friendly and attentive, adding to the relaxed, local feel of the place. Prices are starting to creep up a bit, but still feel somewhat reasonable for the quality and quantity you get, especially in a beach town.
If you’re looking for a solid meal in a nostalgic setting, The Kitchen is definitely worth a visit.

Half the fresh orange juice was seeds making it unable to drink. Chipped beef tasted like flour. Nothing was very good. Service felt like a duty or chore. Bathrooms were dirtier than the boardwalk public restroom! And no, they were not busy.

They don’t tell you they automatically add a tip on so you’re tricked into double tipping then they play dumb and can’t do anything about it.

Had breakfast at The Kitchen this morning. No wait time, free parking, and seat yourself. I do not eat pork and no Turkey products are sold here was my only complaint. We all definitely enjoyed our meal.
