My family & I ate here last year, for what was meant to be my birthday breakfast, & I did not leave a review at the time. Reading the other reviews I feel the need to do so now. We initially thought it would be a nice experience as the seating area was lovely, but as it turns out that was the only good thing. It took us nearly 20 minutes to be seated, not for lack of available tables, but rather because no one was clearing the 4 tables that were empty. Even after being seatdd it was another 15 minutes before a server came to take our order. Thanks to not having a lot of cash on us we all chose cheaper items from the menu. After ordering it was another 30 minutes to even get our drinks, which my husband had to find another server to even ask about. When our food and drinks finally arrived the coffee tasted like stale instant Folgers, the eggs were undercooked, & the bacon was so undercooked it was inedible. The only things that were even close to acceptable were my kids waffles & our toast. My husband and I were barely able to eat anything from our own plates, had to go to the counter and ask for our check because all of the servers had disappeared again, & still ended up paying nearly $75. Given what I've seen from other negative reviews I fully expect to receive a negative response from the owner, full of excuses, but the simple fact is even my children, who will eat nearly anything, refuse to eat there again. Serving inedible food & drinks in paper ware & pairing it with terrible service while being utterly incapable of accepting any negative feedback is no way to run a business at all. The only reason we didn't leave was because the kids were hungry & tired from walking around.

I guess I should’ve known to proceed with caution when this cafe right on the boardwalk was nearly empty in prime time, but we decided to try it anyway thinking we could get a quick meal. The service was still super slow and the waitress handled cash and then served a drink without washing her hands. The food came out cold and flavorless, the Nutella crepes had brown bananas, the coffee tasted old, water was never refilled and the rest of the staff looked like they would rather be anywhere else but there. It also would’ve been nice if they used real plates and not plastic but I guess this isn’t fine dining. Seems like a tourist trap to me, but to each their own. Will definitely stick with bayside skillet for my crepes.

This place is definitely a subpar boardwalk restaurant that ppl only go to out of convenience. It was the skimpiest, dry breakfast sandwich I ever had & my wife’s crepes were topped with canned fruit.
This place was cute but that’s about it. Went 15 after the opening time but it was a ghost town. We came back and finally was able to order, had the peach crepes and coffee and the crepes were cold and the coffee was watered down and the fruit tasted like it was fermented. We asked for manager/owner waited and waited and they never showed up. Within an hour I had a horrible upset stomach and spent the rest of the morning in the room. Owner gets very defensive with a bad review, watch out, most 5 star reviews are from friends and family

Everything was great except it was cash only. I had just enough cash on me to pay for breakfast but I would have gotten a couple more side eggs if I could have paid by cc. Food, service and atmosphere were great. I'm only giving a 4 star overall as I'm not big on carrying cash

The food was decent however our experience when it came time to pay was terrible. This establishment only accepts cash yet this was never communicated to us prior to ordering nor indicated on the menu. When we presented our card, she advised us it was a cash only establishment and that it’s posted. The thing is that we never fully walked into where it’s posted to actually make note that it’s a cash only establishment. Policies as such need to be communicated so that patrons can make informed decisions on whether to patronize an establishment. The icing on the cake was the passive aggressiveness of our server who indignantly pointed out that the table adjacent to us paid with cash. Her comment was unnecessary and was very demeaning. There needs to be more clarity and transparency around their cash only policy especially in that many people do not carry cash.
