My husband and I celebrated his birthday at The Shark yesterday. We are West OC locals so we go the Shark often. I will begin by saying yesterday was fantastic - such fun! Clint and Mike are the most attentive bartenders & the atmosphere is comfortable with a beautiful view of the Harbor ... we are never disappointed. The food is delicious ... we always try whatever seafood is on the menu - yesterday I had Shrimp and Grits with sweet potato biscuits, WOW. So good. We look forward to the unique, as well as the established menus they offer. I would (and often do) recommend The Shark to anyone.

I really enjoyed brunch today. The menu had so many interesting choices but I went with the beast burger. The burger was made with bison, elk, and wagyu meat. Cooked medium rare just the way I like. Topped with crab dip all on a great bun. I substituted the sweet potato fries for regular fries and the we are great.Service was great and I really enjoyed the views. I definitely will go back.

Despite being lifelong Marylanders, this was our first trip to The Shark on the Harbor. I wish we had discovered this restaurant 50 years ago. The menu is changing, and enticing. Creative, chef inspired original dishes. Well trained, accomplished and accommodating staff. Well stocked bar.It was a busy night. Saturday before New Years Eve. The staff could not have been better. The kitchen was efficient, without sacrificing quality. We both selected Pork Shanks. They were delectable. I was disappointed that the Kale was not available, but still, I could not complain about the taste and the presentation of our meals. Dessert? Oh yes. Mud pie cheesecake, to go.We inquired about an opening for New Years Eve and they were booked. The next day, they called us with an opening, but we were already booked somewhere else. Thanks! This place is excellent for a date night, or a special meal with your family.

First off, this is my personal experience with the food at The Shark on The Harbor Restaurant. Your experience may differ, for better or worse.I ordered carryout, and although I didn't dine in, I really liked the look of the interior and the surrounding view.I had the creamy fisherman's stew and a crab cake sandwich. The creamy fisherman's stew tasted delicious but seemed light on sausage and fish. Perhaps I just got a "bad scoop," but there was very little protein in this soup. For $14 for a small cup, I would have expected a lot more. 7.4/10.The crab cake sandwich was very good, made with mostly lump crab meat, and accompanied by a very tasty aioli. I would have preferred a slightly bigger crab cake, but it was decently sized. 8.2/10.Overall, I enjoyed the food and would definitely like to try them again, but perhaps I'll dine in next time.

To start we both had long island ice teas which were very well made, no mix! We each had the middleneck clams in spicy garlic sauce and then we shared a seafood dip served in a bread bowl and also the fish and chips made of fresh sea bass. The food we sampled was absolutely delicious and service at the bar was excellent. We will definitely return to this awesome restaurant next time we are in Ocean City, MD

A restaurant/bar type restaurant - not fancy; good for causal family or friend gathering. Food was alright - big plate with lots of veggies. Service was good. They lost one star for charging customer with credit card fee at 3.33% and that was higher than what the Visa/MC/AMEX credit card would charge their merchants. Would be nice to tell customers beforehand.

Changing daily menu which was pretty good when I went with seafood plates around $40. The alcohol menu was fairly diverse. The waitress was easy to interact with. And the environment was calming on a weekday. Probably worth a second look.

Had read reviews and enjoy fish and chips on occasion when traveling near the ocean.Took a bite of the fish and chips and promptly sent it back. Disappointed. Batter was bland and texture was not crisp at all; it was soggy. No malt vinegar was brought to the table as the description noted in the menu. Two small pieces of fish that were the size of kids frozen French toast sticks. 14$.Side salad, not pictured was 6$ for some greens and two sliced cherry tomatoes. Wasn't asked for type of dressing; it came with a thick glossy light yellow sweet with a hint of citrus. Asked for blue cheese dressing, which was nice. Surprised none of the tables had salt or pepper shakers.3.50$ ice tea. Didn't come with a straw. Not a big deal. When drink was refilled, server picked glass up where my lips were placed. In replacement of the fish and chips (chips were fine and different from other plates that came out that were standard sticks), ordered chicken and waffles. Chicken was extremely dry and batter was dark brown. Had a bite but packed the rest up for my dog. Server didn't ask if it was any better - likely it wasn't good. For 19$, I would have preferred chicken from Popeyes on top of an Eggo waffle with Mrs. Butterworth syrup.Inside decor was nice. Area looked clean. Bathroom was fine. Won't be returning.

This was my first time dining at The Shark of the Harbor. All of the food was excellent. They claim that the crab meat used for the crab cakes is locally picked and never frozen or pasturized. They pick their own crab meat for the crab soup. Both of these dishes were outstanding! As was the deserts. I will dine there again the next time I am in Ocean City, MD.If this review was helpful to you please give it a thumbs up.
