Went for dinner after leaving the restaurant upstairs..not really a restaurant-a bar with food
it was not bad, it was unusual - risotto came (large serving) with mushrooms & red peppers, with a balsamic reduction accent, glass of wine was good; caesar salad was with tomatoes (?)..
Vegetarian options: they try
Dietary restrictions: they do GF

I grew up going to ocean city with my family and looked forward to spending a few days walking the boardwalk and seeing how things have changed. I was having trouble finding a place that had a vacancy, but thought Iucked out by finding the Cambria. I didn’t have an issue that it wasn’t on the ocean side, as it’s still a solid location. As I was approaching OC I was looking forward to getting some rest as it was late. I was coming across the rt 50 bridge and was looking for the hotel but wasn’t quite sure. All I saw….. or thought I saw was a rather large hotel under construction with construction lights that were blinding. Not only were they horrible to look at, but they impacted my ability to see clearly because I kade the mistake of looking in that direction for too long. Little did I know , once I made it across the bridge, those lights were the hotel itself. I genuinely thought the hotel was still under construction. The front desk was friendly, and a bar for drinks and some simple foods a little off to the side, but I had a mission, get to the room and relax. I made it to the room and as soon as I walked in, I was greeted by an off putting layout. I was still dealing with a burnt cornea from the hotel which turned out to be the balcony lights, but even if I had full sight it would still be awkward. I understand the idea of having a bed face the balcony window to be able to enjoy the view, but the way it was done was awkward and just a pain to walk around. There was an odd half height desk that kinda doubled as the headboard, and it was all just u comfortable. And even if you wanted to enjoy the view, the light of 1000 suns was shining on the balcony washing out anything to see. I figured I would just shut the light off, nope. They are not able to be turned on or off in the room. In fact, they stay on all day and I swear even in full daylight they are probably viewable from space. Sitting out in the balcony at night required 2 layers of sunglasses. The trip was only for a few nights, but that’s all I could take. There were other issues with the room and the bar that added to an overall weird stay. Finally I found out that the hotel la corporate office likes to steal from local businesses and when confronted flaunt that they can afford to tie things up in the legal system until the small business runs out of money. A local photographers photo was used in promotional material for this hotel without permission. There’s a much longer story that you can read, but needless to say I don’t recommend this hotel based upon my experience and that the corporate entity that runs it, choice hotels, don’t want to make things right, they want to dig in and crap on people. If you had a wonderful stay here, that’s awesome, but for me, between the issues during the stay, the steeling without attempting to make it right, and the temporary loss of sight from balcony lights, I recommend finding another place. Thanks for reading!
While sitting at the bar everyone was very friendly. Staff has been very accommodating and attentive. Would recommend to anyone I know!

Absolutely, unacceptable service. We went there for breakfast and there was only one server the day before 4th of July. ONLY one server. It took just an hour to take our order. We felt super bad for the server. We stayed patient and dealt with the delays. We did tip the server 50% because we felt it was not her fault and she did her best. But the management there should be fired. Absolute disgrace. Food is ok. Nothing especial.

I stayed at the hotel and enjoyed breakfast and a small lunch. The breakfast was actually very tasty. The pancakes were soft and fluffy and the sausage was amazing! The French toast and potatoes were equally as amazing. The bacon however, was could’ve been cooked a little longer but overall, I would for sure recommend the breakfast. The lunch was alright. The burger, very good! The fries were soft and could’ve been cooked longer, but the flavor options are nice. The wings were on the unseasoned side. But again, for what it’s worth, I’d visit again.
Spectacular breakfast food here. High quality food and ingredients. Very kind staff and very helpful. AMAZING View on the deck. Watch the boats go by. This place is the best kept secret. It’s rarely busy too, so seating is very quick and available. Would recommend!
We went for the Thanksgiving meal which was supposed to be all you can eat, however, it was not a buffet so you were dependent on the staff to bring you what you want from the menu. Drinks took forever, food took forever and when ordering more of certain food items, we had to ask repeatedly for seconds then wait 20-30 minutes for seconds. It took me at least six tries to get my youngest a second roll. Half the time the food orders weren't correct and the first time the plates of food came, two of the eight in our group didn't get to any food at all. This method of serving certainly discourages eating all you can as it's infuriating to wait 20-30 minutes for something after asking for it. 5 of our ordered drinks came after the food arrived and after we reminded the server and manager that we hadn't gotten the drinks. We ordered a bottle of wine (no prices listed) thinking that would be cheaper than ordering individual glasses but the bottle was somehow more expensive than had we ordered separate glasses. They ended up adjusting the price after we complained but only equal to if we had individually ordered glasses (at $9 per glass, so still high for a bottle). The only bright side was that the food was pretty good, but it was such a hassle to get seconds of anything that it definitely didn't feel like we got the benefit of the all you can eat price we paid. Finally, when another table complained (as we were not the only table facing these issues), the manager not only didn't apologize but also got defensive. We made the best of it and remained fairly patient throughout but we reached our limit when the second helping of mashed potatoes my son had asked for 3-4 times came out with the dessert. Not a pleasant Thanksgiving experience and very expensive considering the service and experience we had.
