First time ever eating here & we are so glad we did! We had the Steak/Cheese & the Cheeseburger subs, they were delicious! Friendly staff also. This is our go to place when we visit OC from now on!
I had my wedding at the Dunes Manor and all of the bridesmaids and groomsmen were starving the night before so we randomly got cheesesteaks from here since it was so close. HOLY CRAP!! We were blown away by how delicious these cheesesteaks were!! ALL of us ended up going back the very next night for more. I’m so happy I live in Berlin so I can go back whenever I want. In fact, I think I’ll head over there right now for lunch!

The owner is adorable and shared how she and her husband started this hidden gem 46 years ago. The best cheesesteak and Italian sub are highly recommended, with the cheesesteak being especially popular. The fries are crispy and delicious. The shop is located just a couple of blocks from the beach, making it a convenient spot to grab a meal. Recently, customers have enjoyed items like the Wrap, Crab cake Hoagie, mozzarella sticks, BLT, and cheese burger sub. The mozzarella sticks are crunchy on the outside and melty inside, just right. The BLT comes with toasted bread and is very tasty. Service is quick and friendly, and the place is kept very clean. Parking is available nearby. Overall, Tommy's Sub Shop is a favorite for tasty food and quick service.
