Their food was good but they didn't know what sweet and sour chicken was and the filling in crab rangoon isn't supposed to be sweet.
Garbage on a plate
Ownership changed recently. This place is awful. Absolutely do not come here.
Food: I'm pretty sure I identified the frozen fried rice brand they use. The chicken egg roll had literally THE most disgusting aftertaste. I took one bite and was horrified. I took a second bite to confirm the first, and was even more disappointed. The pork was fine-ish. At least it was $8 or something like that.
Service: The guy working the counter is nice but he's some random dude off the street I'm pretty sure.
Atmosphere: this place is gross y'all. This is the kinda place you see in videogames, extremely basic random decor, nothing going on, not a single soul. There was a random anchor decal on the wall. There were paper Chinese scripts on the wall. There was the box of a TV on the ground. I don't get it. They play loud Chinese music too.
There is no parking. You can park in the middle of the road, or down the street.
Overall a pretty terrible experience. I hope they don't last a year.

My sister and I came here for the first time and the food did not disappoint. If you're getting to-go, I would recommend ordering ahead before going but if you don't mind a longer wait time, you can order and wait for it. When picking up, I would recommend parking behind the KFC and walking to the restaurant since they only have about 3 parking spots in front of the restaurant. I would also recommend the Singapore Rice noodles and Spicy Squid.

It makes me sad to write this review because Iāve come to Grace Garden since the old owners had it back in 2007. Drove down specially to Odenton because this place has great Chinese food. Walked in and asked for the Laizi-ji chicken (dry Szechuan chicken) and the guy acted like he didnāt know what I was talking about.
He said he wasnāt familiar with the dish and showed me the cheap paper menu that is typical of carry-out joints. It was the typical Chinese-American fare and really not interesting enough to try when youāve had you mind set on the higher echelon of Chinese cooking.
I asked him did they not have the āotherā menu? He said no - not under this new ownership. New ownership? Grace Garden went through this before and kept the menu. Iām guessing that the new owners donāt want to go through the trouble of a more traditional menu when the Panda Express menu will do.
I told him that was disappointing and left without ordering.
Iām posting this to let readers know that if youāve been enticed to try Grace Garden because of the traditional menu - donāt bother. It is gone. It is no longer worth the extra effort and special journey to visit. You can get decent enough General Tsoās pretty much anywhere.
Today has been a disappointment.

I agree with some other reviews here. We thought this was going to be our local go-to Sichuan place but the food has taken a nose dive. Itās not consistent. Sichuan differentiates itself from other Chinese food in its preparation. The food lacks flavor; the fried rice is brown, tired and lacks ingredients I expect to find in a Sichuan style fried rice which is normally white with fresh veggies. The vegetables are soupy and overcooked. The noodles are too greasy and lacks flavor. Itās just not what itās supposed to be, what it used to be. My kids used to love the food here, not anymore!
Got the wonton soup and mapo tofu. Really good food, I was really impressed. Wonton soup had huge flavorful wontons in a really tasty broth. Mapo tofu was the perfect spice level and was extremely tasty and authentic. Was very impressed, Iād go again!
First-time customer. I will not order from here again. The location is a commercial strip on 175 across from Fort Meade. There is parking along the curb out front, but it's risky to get in or out of your car due to traffic speeding by. You need to park in a lot around the corner. The Sesame Chicken (one of my favorite dishes) was unrecognizable compared to many other restaurants. The meat was dried out and brittle. Egg drop soup tasted ok, but it was very watery. The free vegetarian egg rolls were miniature, with paper thin wrappers, and the filling tasted like sour cabbage. The Chicken and Egg Foo Young was tender inside and served with a tasty sauce but was crusty and greasy on the outside (first time ordering this dish, so I wasn't sure what to expect). The only thing I enjoyed from my over $50.00 order was the vegetable fried rice. The atmosphere inside was simple and clean but not a place I would choose for dining out. My order was ready on time. The lady and gentleman who worked there were very friendly and courteous.
Excellent food and great service. Thank you
Itās chinese food. Great price.

Amazing service
Best restaurant around town!! I've tried 10 different dishes. All of which were so great!
My Brother recently recommended Grace Garden to me because the Chinese restaurant we used to order from suddenly went out of business.
Grace Garden is a welcome replacement. The service is very good. The people are friendly and patient. The food was fresh and well seasoned. We ordered General Tso's shrimp, Japanese Udon noodles, chicken wings, lo mein, hot and sour soup, egg drop soup, steamed dumplings and crab rangoon. Everything was so delicious. We're definitely going to be ordering again.
The date of our visit was January 16, 2025.
The food was delicious, especially the egg rolls, and it came out relatively quick. The restaurant is clean. The employees are nice. Overall: great.
Mapo tofu has a fishy smell, and it is not spicy. It is completely tasteless. The chef does not know how to handle tofu at all. In the end, I had to process it myself, but because of the beany smell, it was still not very delicious. Who elseās stir-fried chicken is sweet? Itās similar to Zuo Zong Chicken. After ordering three dishes, the only one I could barely eat was the shredded pork with green pepper. I donāt want to comment on the dishes, but they tasted okay. I will never come here again. If this restaurant still wants to open, the chef will have to change.
