A favorite of American Discovery Trail hikers! Whether finishing up the last miles of the C & O and heading into West Virginia, or beginning their trek south, a nourishing fill-up before pounding out the next couple of dozen miles is complete at the Schoolhouse!
Rita is a sweetheart. The food is like the best home cooked style you can imagine.The building closed as a school in 2000 and has been used as a cafe, community shop, garage, gym, hairdressers, and an Air BnB.There are high school leavers photos on the walls around.Great place to come off the trail and rest an hour
Stopped here for breakfast recently. The food was good and the staff are friendly. Can’t beat the prices either. They also have a little store area where you can purchase food related items.
