Mackey's Owings Mills has been closed for almost a year. They didn't even last for more than a few months in this location.

Since the nasty diner shutdown this location has gone from Watami Bistro, to shakin crab, to Mackey's in a very short time. If? It comes back I guess it will be the same workers. Shakin crab had the same workers as Watami. From people on next door Mackey's had the same workers. Due to that I won't be going there if the location get a new name unless I see different workers.

I've only been here once and I enjoyed it. I got buffalo wings and mac and cheese and it tasted like a great, homemade meal. I'm not sure if they've gone out of business. I can't seem to find hours/ a phone number anywhere online and I've gone to the building twice and both times it was closed.

This place use to be Shaken Crab, back then my wife and I ate there regularly. Now that it has became Mackey's it has become a complete disappointment! The food is dry and flavorless and the menu does not make any sense. I don't know how this place is still in business. I will never eat at this nasty place again!

Apparently I haven't been paying attention this year, because I didn't realize we now have a business with warmth and a wonderful vibe in Mackey's Seafood. The first person I saw nodded to me as I drove by, and since I recognized that the logo on his shirt matched the business logo, I started smiling and said to myself "I'm definitely ordering from there." Greeted with a smile and excellent customer service by the second person, I knew I'd made the right decision. I'm definitely coming back to sit at this bar and soak up some old school R&B, and more of the owners' positive vibe. The restaurant has that "where everybody knows your name" feel, but with class. All food is cooked to order, so do wait patiently. Wipe your feet on the mat out front and relax.

I will try to keep this brief:My wife had the Shrimp Special -The shrimp tasted as if they had sat out too long, had little seasoning and had a faint taste of burned plastic (the one I ate). We opted to throw away the food rather than eat it despite both loving shrimp. The rest of the food had the same tainted flavor. She was never offered cocktail sauce or any sauce with her entrée.I had the two Crab cakes meal:The crab cakes were edible, but there was far too much seasoning on them. The meat had the consistency of a canned tuna, but was crab.The sides for both the meals were not very good. I had to inquire about sauces as well. The hot sauce was an old bay hot sauce that added to the overly seasoned old bay crab cakes. The tartar sauce was unremarkable.Our children had kids meals that were from the frozen food aisle. Cheeseburger was underdressed, tenders were over cooked, onion rings were over battered and the batter never got crispy.End of the night, we spent $100 dollars for food that was worse than fast food. There was little to nothing redeemable about the food.The service was extraordinarily slow for an empty restaurant, but he staff were friendly. I hope this is growing pains and the food will improve. I do not know if I will ever return, though.

The delivery service was nice but the food was nasty over seasoned like they were hiding something Salty and should not have been sold I’d like to have a full refund this is not Maryland Crabmeat it from someplace else like Venezuela or North Carolinaand customer should be told the truth about what they are eating it hard to fool a person from a Maryland who has work in the industry for about 10 year or better.

If I could give less than 1 star I would, This placed messed up on my wife Uber Eats order three separate times.Ordering in the restaurant maybe a better experience, but I definitely DO NOT recommend anyone order from this place through Uber Eats.Buyer please beware
We’ve dined in at Mackey’s a few times because enjoy the music and meals. There is a good variety of foods and to us is very tasty. Mackey’s dine restaurant is a new business, but also have a crab house over East. The staff is friendly and engaged.
