FOOD & SAFETY DANGER: I was a big fan of this restaurant as my mom and I would share memories here—until recently. When arriving, I informed the food handler (server), that I am going to order two meals off the menu but will adjust the ingredients as I just recovered from food poisoning. I should have known better when I seen her wearing the same gloves she was initially touching everything with and proceed to began my meal digging in the salad to began my meal. Thereafter, she grabs one (1) pair of tongs and proceeds to dig in the pulled chicken then proceeds to dig the same tongs across every vegetable, cheese, fruit and nuts on the serving platter. I couldn’t believe my eyes watching the lack of care of cross contamination as I watched the juices and remains of each item spoiling one another. I stopped the young lady and told her what she was doing and that I no longer wanted my meal. An older lady (whom looked like the manager), said she would make my second dish and used (what appeared to be), fresh tongs on each item and charged me for that one meal. After waking out the store feeling like I was a burden to their day and hustled to pay for a meal after their grave mistake, I threw the food away. I realized: how many time today did this cross contamination happen by that same food handler and why was she not taught properly by the manager severing food right next to her? Is this their standards of food and safety? Also, how many hours was this food sitting out today after the food has been cross contaminated with pork, beef and chicken being dipped into the corn, onions, carrots, tomatoes, oranges, sesame seeds and other delicate produce? Lastly, was all this food recycled from yesterday and previous days this week? With a good conscious of not wanting to be hospitalized again, I trashed everything.

The service at this location has really gone downhill. I’d recommend taking your business elsewhere as the employees are absolutely unpleasant and the portions served have decreased. My husband caught the server scowling at us as he asked us what options we wanted! Completely unprofessional. It’s very disappointing because I’ve supported this establishment for many years and it used to be great. None of the employees working during our visit on Monday felt like being bothered and we've decided that it would be our last time eating here. I have told friends and family about our experience and they too will be taking their business elsewhere. The Poke establishment and Panera in the same shopping center always have pleasant employees which make for a great customer experience. Best not to spend your money here where the staff is rude and the portions are paltry.

Hands down, the best build your own salad restaurant that I've ever patronized. All fresh ingredients with wonderfully prepared and varied proteins. They also serve soups and hot stir fry options with some great specialty fountain drinks.

Didn't realize how much I liked eating here until I became sick a couple of months ago. Was looking for some greens. Their salads are delicious! Get some protein and greens with some ranch dressing and a slice of fresh warm bread..oh baby!

Chef Greg Nalley: From Concrete to Culinary

Chef Greg's journey is one of passion and perseverance. Starting in a small South Carolina town and working in his father's concrete business, Greg Nalley moved to Maryland in 1992 for culinary school. His career took off as he became the executive chef at the Maryland Jockey Club and later opened his first restaurant, Harvest Table. Walked into this place only one person there at a table with a plastic container of salad. I didn't see any real dishes just plastics cups etc. Walked out.

I have been going to Owings Mills place of business for about two years after church services. Both of my complaints involved Gloria. She's a poor idea of an assistant manager, and not nice at all.. The second bad service was Dec. 15. 2024. She processed my refund of <$13.93> without giving me a credit/refund/ voided receipt. Gloria only gave me two debt receipts: 1) $13.93 and 2) $13.38. Gloria said the register do not offer credit/refund or voided receipts. What kind of store doesn't give credit/ retund or void receipts, just debit receipts. Crazy !!!
