Kabuto Japanese Steakhouse and Sushi Bar

We went to celebrate my twins' birthday and had the BEST time! All our guests really enjoyed the food and entertainment of our meal being created right infront of us. This is our 2nd time at this location. My only thing is my food seemed too salty this time. Everyone else enjoyed it though and that won't deter us from returning. Thank you for creating such an amazing and memorable evening for my kids and our guests :)

UPDATE AND EDIT IN RESPONSE TO OWNER - the 18% to each meal for all parties is plastered on the front door. It does not apply to just parties over 5. As other reviews say they had 2 ppl and was charged 18% each meal also. Closing time is at 9 yall would normally take your last at 8:30. I arrived at 7:26. But it’s ok I made it over to kobe’s after being denied and was happily greeted and waited on. Sometimes when one thing fails it’s a plan for something better. Had A great time at kobe’s . And I didn’t say you didn’t do hibachi i said when i got there a hour and half before closing yall said i couldn’t be seated for hibachi because it was already too late when i was there wayyyyy before cut off time .

DoNot Eat here . They add 18%on each meal not the total also had me drive 30 minutes there said they could seat me but when i got there a hour and half before closing time they said they weren’t doing hibachi . OWNER WAS RUDE AND SO WAS FRONT DESK RECEPTIONIST

Nice family dinner outing. Be mindful to check any to go orders because they did not include the entire order for us but the children loved the chef cooking in front of us.

Food is amazing

Steak melts in your mouth and the salad dressing I could put on everything!! I always get a side for my hibachi too

Just went back today for lunch and excellent service and an amazing chef that interacted with both my kids!! Accidently stayed until they were closing to set up for dinner. Everyone is so sweet there!

Great food, came quickly after we ordered, the portions are large with lots of included sides. The seats are nice so we can interact with other tables. The grill side is very quiet but good atmosphere watching the sushi chefs. We went when it was very busy on the hibachi side so we were forgotten about a few times and had to pay our bill at the front after about half hour of no one giving us one. Go a little before dinner and it should be a much better experience as far as wait times.

They go above and beyond to make you feel appreciated and well taken care of. Always Plenty of well cooked food also

The only negative experience was the difficulty getting someone on the phone for questions. I had to dial several times before I got a response.

My party of 2 arrived at 6:25 for our 6:30 reservation. The server would not seat us until another, very large party arrived to share the hibachi table. The table was clean and ready, but we were not permitted to go there and had to sit on a bench in the lobby. That party arrived at 6:45. No one came to take drink orders or food orders until 7. The meal did not begin until 7:30. And since the other group was so big, the server sat me on the very edge of the counter with barely any space to eat or sit comfortably. The restaurant applied a mandatory 18% tip on the bill. I am always happy to tip 20% for good service, but I would not choose to tip 18% for a meal when I had to wait 30 minutes for my drink order to be taken. The chef was friendly and skilled. My scallops were delicious. I would have been happy to tip him directly, but there was no option for that. I will not be returning because of the host staff, the slow service, and the policy to not seat us until the group of strangers arrived.

We had a great time! We were at a table with a family and one other guest and they were all so fun and friendly! We all just had a great time! I am unfortunately allergic to onions but they were able to make my food in the back and it was delicious! This is our second visit at this location and both times were wonderful!

Great place for kids and kids birthdays. We had a great experience for my son's 11th bday dinner.

If you like sitting at the same grill/table with strangers in a very noisy place that allows children to run amuck and out of control, you will enjoy Kabuto. If you don't, you won't. The food is the same as the much lower priced Charm City Buffet's Hibachi Grill, Quickway or most any Chinese Carry-out. Kabuto just adds a little side-show from the Chef, in addition to the expensive drinks and noisy atmosphere. A draft beer was $8. For what you get, the food is very expensive also. The tip is already added to the bill. It was $85 for the two of us and neither of us had an appetizer nor cocktail. Children were allowed to run all around the restaurant, screaming, running and falling down, while the parents just sat around and laughed. No one said a word and this went on for about 45 minutes. The chef took so long to hibachi/grill the food for our table of 10, that by the time he finally put the shrimp on our plates, we were already done. All in all, we're a one and done, but many do enjoy it apparently, as it was packed. It just wasn't our idea of a fun night out for 2.

Well I understand it gets busy, especially the holidays. It's definitely a strange concept to sit with strangers.

The food and the hibachi chef were good, the other service staff were poor. After they took our order and bought out the salad & soups, they never came back until the meal was over to bring the check. I shouldn't need to chase someone down just to get a drink refill.
