I can no longer recommend them after being served rotten fish for dinner. The smell/taste of ammonia was undeniably pungent. To their credit, they comped our food, but we couldn't finish it. The manager said he spoke to the chef who said the fish was only prepared the prior weekend, so that it should still be good.... Improperly prepared fish makes people sick. This is a drastic safety oversight, and no matter how good any other food was, I can't recommend somewhere who's kitchen serves hazardous food.

Original Review: Went for lunch, and loved it so much that we came back the next day with the kids. Absolutely everything was delicious. I'm a chicken tender aficionado and these are my new #1. They're made in house, they're juicy and flavorful, and the crust is seasoned and crispy!
All of the staff we met were wonderful, and the owners are awesome. It's a family owned business, and you'll see the owner around, and their very sweet teenage kids helping with simple tasks. They clearly take pride in the place, and told us about some of the buildings cool history. It's got original wood and stone from 1886 and is beautiful! The inside is charming and the outside has a beautiful view. I cannot say enough good things about this place. You've gotta try it!

Edit: Fixed spelling mistakes (their, there, they're).

Drove by this place taking my daughter to frederick, md and it took us a while to get here. Awesome setting, not far from gunpowder falls. Very quaint place inside. We were quickly seated and service was right away. Great menu and goodselection of craft beers. Food was served quickly with good portions, can't wait to come back and enjoy sitting on the porch.

Went on a Sunday aftet church. Arrived at the end of brunch just before lunchtime. Placed my order just before the official with someone who identified himself as the manager just start of lunch time. I waited nearly 20 minutes for my hot food that arrived cold. The manager was aware that the food was delayed because he stopped by my table to apologize for the wait. The food, when it arrived was okay. The service was okay especially because the restaurant wasn't busy which would have justified my wait especially because it wasn't a special order. The staff had a nonchalant unserious attitude from the door -- not happy, not sad, just ehhh. My overall impression is ehhh.

Absolutely wonderful! The best chicken tenders of anywhere made in house!
Great crushes, Cubano, Ruben, everything really.
Family owned and they run it well.
Helpful staff, good atmosphere. If you're looking for a place to go this is it!

Last evening, we attended a family dinner at McFaul’s Iron Horse Tavern located at 2260 Cromwell Bridge Road, Parkville, MD 21234.

A reservation for 13 people was made several days before the dinner.

When we arrived, there was insufficient seating and we had to move an extra table and chairs to expand the seating.

We waited about 10 minutes before the server arrived to take our beverage order.

My wife and I had Cream of Crab Soup and Shrimp Tacos with seasoned tortilla chips. The Cream of Crab Soup was inundated with Old Bay Seafood Spice and had one bland lump of crabmeat.

The Shrimp Tacos were served with a cabbage slaw covered with a seafood sauce. The tacos were over seasoned and had a spicy aftertaste.

The service was poor with dishes being served at different times so that we had to wait to begin eating.

The restrooms were dirty with peeling paint and rusty surfaces.

With a limited menu and poor service, I would not recommend this establishment.

Great place tucked out by the reservoir. Skip the chains. Reasonably priced good food and drinks and even live music sometimes

Parking is a nightmare, the place is literally right on the road with a steep slope. Food was fine, there was a band that was OK but the room was way too small and it was too loud.
