This was my first time trying Peruvian food and I'm glad I went here for it. The chicken was super juicy, the yuca was perfectly fried, the plantains were that right balance between being a little sweet and a little savory.
The thing that knocked it out of the park for me was the cilantro rice. Nobody ever warned me that rice could be this good.
Not to mention it came out to a little under 20 per person and the portions were pretty big.

Was looking for some fried plantains for my dad that lives in pasadena, md. So this spot came up on google maps. Ordered plantains, a whole chicken, fries, and salmon scampi. My dad loved the chicken and plantains. My mom loved the salmon scampi. It's a small place but the staff are super friendly wearing big smiles and the food is delicious!!

Our office picked up lunch from El Pollo Cool today, and the meal was amazing. We did the whole chicken + 3 sides - rice, plantains, and green beans. We devoured the chicken so fast. I ordered in person, and the takeout was ready in just a few minutes.

I was here for the first time for Mother’s Day last year which started a tradition of eating here now. The burritos are amazing and chicken so delicious. We probably come 2-3 times a month. They are so nice and polite and the music always brings a smile to my face. A must visit if you never have!!

First and last time eating their food. The half chicken was way overcooked that even the thigh was so dry and devoid of any moisture. Flavor was nonexistent and flat. The chicken was so small that I've seen Cornish game hens much larger than what I got. Oddly this place gets good reviews. Maybe the cook had a bad day? No reason the customer should be punished. I'll be sticking with Don Pollo when I am visiting family in Gaithersburg.

I'm from Silver Spring and there's a bunch of peruvian chicken places. This place is a bit higher in price but the chicken is darn good. With the sandwiches, they need to use pulled chicken from the grill. OMG that would be delicious. Oh and their cilantro rice is the best rice I've ever had!!
