Best safeway I've been to. Worked there a year ago, all the staff were great and friendly! Premium grocery experience with an exceptional starbucks.
They're always out of rotisserie chicken.
The workers in the deli section always hide in the back so you can't get any help.
The check out experience has always been terrible here, and they got rid of the little shopping baskets, so now you're forced to get a cart which I hate doing.
This place is crap.
Y’all never give me sauce’s. My friends and I will start going to another McDonald’s because it’s ridiculous, do better.
It's a pain that they make you log into their website to use their "digital coupons" so they can take your personal info, but it's very annoying that the digital coupons offered won't let you clip them to add to your cart. Bait and Switch.
Worst experience ever. Made my drink completely wrong and took 15 minutes to remake after waiting 10 minutes for the original one to be made.
Now the remake is even wrong
They should not have 2 trainees working together with one person
Easy access, ample parking, handicap parking but could be more, friendly staff and they have a Starbucks in the store as you enter.
Went to deli at Safeway tonight at 715pm and it was closed. Probably the only deli in Pasadena that is closed at that time on a Thursday night. Must not want the business
I always love the Starbucks coupon that becomes available. You can find pretty good deals if you keep your eyes peeled for red tagged items (they go quick). If your ‘ballin’ on a budget’ check the clearance rack in the back of the store also.
Clean, usually well stocked, has a Starbucks, free wi-fi. Been going here for 20+ years split maybe 50/50 with the Giant next-door. Wife is a safeway fan, I prefer the Giant but they are really pretty comparable- just your preference.
Shop here all the time, staff is very helpful

I have been taking advantage of online ordering with pick up since Covid. I am generally satisfied with the grocery order. My last 3 orders have been very disappointing with the produce & am considering giving Giant a try because of this. I purchased apples & everyone was mushy & had brown spots the day I picked up my order. Just purchased plums & had to throw all of them out within a day. All were rotting &!mushy. Also purchased a shrimp pasta salad & threw all of that out within a day. Taste was “off” & smelled bad. Shrimp had a weird texture. I feel like they load my orders up with bad produce that costs me a lot
Saturday morning and it was busier than weekdays, but there was no problem getting in the store, shopping and checking out. They have self service and full service. Even a couple staff to keep the carts off the lot.
