Steamed mussels is good. Grilled fish with crabmeat is overcooked. Crab cake is fine, but the fries are over greasy. Overall is so so.

The food is quite good. Service was very good, but there was only one server on duty. She worked very hard and did a great job. It’s a fancier sports bar, which is not my cup of tea. However, this seems to be the way of the world today.

We were not greeted at the door this afternoon. The service was nonexistent once we got our food. No refills on water or anything else for that matter. The price for the food we received was completely unacceptable. How about $9 for 3 shrimp. Everything was dry and not 1 person at our table of 3 enjoyed their meal.

We just went last night for a family dinner. Everything was perfect! We had 12 people, and service was still fast. We got our drinks, appetizers, and food came out a little bit later. I had the crab cake and sautéed spinach, sooooo good. I also had a Watermelon crush. I love having a drink with dinner, but I don't like anything strong. This was sweet and very good, I ordered another one. The atmosphere was just laid back and relaxing. We also watched the football game as well.
We will definitely be going back, and want to try the graham cracker ice cream. We ordered it after other people said to try it, but the ingredients were gone, it's a very in demand dessert from patrons. I can't wait to taste it.

Everything about this place is great the food, music, service, and overall atmosphere. This place was had such a good selection it took me forever to decide what I wanted, and they were playing chill reggae the whole time, our server was very friendly and talked to us like friends, and the table chairs are comfortable music is the right volume to talk normally with your tables without others hearing

We went there on Valentines day and we were seated right away in the bar area. Very loud! Our order was taken after being there just a few minutes. Everything is looking and going great so far. Now we begin to notice that everyone around us are getting served. Some were getting both there appetizers and main courses. Now mind you these tables came in after we did. Finally we say something to the waitress and she goes to see what was taken so long. She comes back after stopping at the bar and printing something, not sure if it was our order or not. Drops it off in the kitchen and then tells us that the kitchen is backed up. I ask to see the manager. When the manager come over we tell her everything I'm saying now. After about 10 minutes of talking to her she brings our food out. Now I ordered a linguine dish so I asked her for a spoon and she said sure. She then proceeded to go and talk to another table for 5 to 10 minutes before bringing me the spoon. I then told her that you already knew we were upset about waiting and you go and make me wait even longer. I then told her that I am not paying for the food and yes I ate it all. I still left a 20 dollar bill, because I have been in the food and beverage business most of my life and I know what it's like working in this atmosphere. Do I recommend it? Well I don't think I will ever go back so I think you have your answer.

I had lunch with a large group of women last week. Food and drinks were very good. Our server was pleasant, professional, very efficient and the only server in the entire restaurant. When we arrived we asked for separate checks. Many of these women had patronized this venue before and asking for separate checks was never a problem. Our server apologized and said unfortunately they were no longer honoring separate checks for large groups. We were like ok, whatever, but our server somehow found a way to accommodate us. Kudos to her as she was super busy. So no issues with the food, drinks, or service. The issue is the remark made by the manager as we were leaving that large groups will no longer be welcome there. I suppose that decision was based solely on the separate check request as everyone really enjoyed themselves and we discussed coming back again. The manager won't have to worry about these women returning and obviously doesn't care about the loss of revenue. Our group had made a reservation so you knew we were coming. It wasn't our fault you were short staffed but reading other reviews it appears the venue is often not staffed appropriately. Perhaps the manager was having a bad day but they should thank their lucky stars for the server who showed up and did an awesome job.

River Stone has quickly became one of our favorite restaurants. The pulled pork nachos are honestly one of my favorite things to eat. Today we came in for Valentines Day. We got the lamb app, I dont eat lamb but my husband does. He loved it, and I actually tried it and was pleasantly surprised with how good it was ! Its a bit on the higher end but its a holiday so we splurged.
He got the salmon burger for an entree and i got the steak fries. Everything was great and tasty. Our waitress was attentive and friendly. Definitely recommend and we will be back.

I have worked alongside the service industry for nearly twenty years as a vendor. I understand staffing challenges, pacing issues, and the realities of holiday service. I do not casually leave negative reviews, especially for small businesses. This is one of only a handful of times I have felt compelled to speak up publicly. The experience at River Stone Grill on Valentine’s Day warranted it.

We had never been to the restaurant before. We booked through OpenTable for a 3:30 PM reservation to avoid the expected evening chaos. When we arrived, the parking lot was adequate and the restaurant appeared clean and well designed. Throughout our stay, the dining room was approximately 30 to 35 percent full. Front of house staffing appeared adequate.

There was confusion at the host stand. Two hosts appeared unsure and we had to give our reservation name twice despite the restaurant being mostly empty. We were seated and waited a significant amount of time before being greeted by our server.

We ordered drinks. They took an unusually long time to arrive given how empty the restaurant was. The server immediately apologized and blamed the bar. We let it go. The Old Fashioned I ordered was excellent.

I ordered the pot roast. My wife ordered pot stickers as her meal along with a side of sweet potato fries and a glass of sauvignon blanc. The food arrived faster than the drinks, delivered by an expeditor. Only my pot roast and the sweet potato fries were brought to the table. The fries were set down as if they were my wife’s full meal. The pot stickers were missing.

There was no operational reason the pot roast, fries, and pot stickers could not have been delivered together. I asked the expeditor where my wife’s meal was. His response was, “It’s comin’.” We watched him return to the kitchen and come back out without the food. After several more minutes, we asked again and were told he would check with our server.

Eventually the server came over and said she would check on them. She returned without the pot stickers. Then she said the manager would bring them out. A few moments later the manager delivered them. By that point, the food was cold. My pot roast was cold. The fries were cold. The delay had already impacted the experience.

I explained to the manager that the service had been poor. Late drinks. Multiple requests for a missing entree. Cold food. I was not asking for a discount or a comp and likely would have declined one. What I expected was acknowledgment and a solution such as offering to remake or heat the dishes. There was no empathy and no proposed remedy. I stated directly that I would be leaving a review. There was no response that suggested concern.

At that point we decided to leave. We left with roughly half of our meal still on the table because we simply wanted to get out.

I asked for the check. The server placed it on the far corner of the table. While she was still there, I took out my credit card and tossed it onto the table on top of the check so we could close out quickly. I admit I tossed it onto the table. I did not throw it at her. She became irate and accused me of throwing my card at her. That accusation escalated the situation further. There was no attempt by any staff member to deescalate or recover the experience.

We paid the full bill, just over seventy dollars, and left a 15 percent tip. For context, we typically tip 30 percent or more and on holidays often tip the amount of the check. This was not about seeking a handout. It was about a complete breakdown of front of house hospitality in a restaurant that was not under visible strain.

I have worked alongside the service industry for nearly 20 years and rarely leave negative reviews, especially for small businesses. Our Valentine's Day dinner at River Stone Grill compelled me to do so. We booked through OpenTable for 3:30 PM to avoid the evening rush. The restaurant was only about 30 to 35 percent full and appeared adequately staffed. The host stand was confused and we had to give our name twice. We then waited a long time to be greeted and an unusually long time for drinks. The Old Fashioned was excellent. I ordered the pot roast. My wife ordered pot stickers as her meal with sweet potato fries. An expeditor delivered my pot roast and only her fries, treating them as her entree. The pot stickers were missing. When asked, we were told “it's comin'.” After multiple follow ups and several more minutes, the manager finally brought them out. By then the food was cold. The pot roast was cold. The fries were cold. I explained the issues to the manager... late drinks, missing entree, cold food. I was not seeking a comp and likely would have declined one. No empathy or solution was offered. We left with roughly half our meal on the table because we simply wanted to get out. When paying, I tossed my credit card onto the table on top of the check to close out quickly. I did not throw it at the server, but she became irate and accused me of doing so. There was no attempt to recover the situation. We paid the full $70 plus bill and still left a 15 percent tip, though we normally tip 30 percent or more. The food had good flavor and presentation, but it was cold. The decor is attractive. The complete failure was front of house hospitality and accountability.

We've been here plenty of times and it never disappoints. Food is consistently very good, service varies a bit but is generally very good. We stayed a long time and weren't at all pressured to move on.

We’ve dined here before and enjoyed the food and casual atmosphere. However, after attempting twice to coordinate a staggered group of 18–20 people for a Sunday afternoon around 4–4:30pm, we were surprised by the lack of flexibility or discussion from management.

Each time, staff had to “check with the manager,” and the response was simply that they couldn’t accommodate us. No alternatives were offered or even a conversation about options. Given the off-peak timing and the potential for consistent weekly business, we were surprised there wasn’t more flexibility or willingness to discuss solutions.

We completely understand that large groups require some planning, but the absence of any effort to explore solutions was disappointing.

I really like the place. As far as atmosphere and camaraderie. You can tell right away it's bringing a lot of people in hanging out spending time sharing memories and decompressing for the week. Or just decompressing for a day. Good atmosphere great staff. But I'm here to rate the food. First let's start with the steakhouse chili. Presents well. Great presentation. Looked good. But there was one problem. It didn't taste like chili. When I get my chili I want a taste of chili spice, maybe some cumin, maybe some cinnamon. The flavor profile never came together. Next the polpette parmesan. I guess a fancy way to say meatballs and marinara and cheese. Average taste. Nothing to go to war for. Cheese should have been melted more. Next is the Broccoli Berchetta Stuffed Fried Chicken. Ummm. Yeah. Again as with other dishes great description. Average dish. Nothing tied in. The French Dip. Made with pot roast. Took chance but what was i thinking. I should have just got pot roast on white bread. Bad texture. Grainy. Dry. Chunky. Its like they want to be known for their pot roast then avoid waste by shoving it in multiple recipes. Finally the Tony D. No pictured because I was ready to leave but the sandwhich is only as good as the roll its on and the roll sucked. I have seen better Italian subs put together by the second shift at WaWa on a Tuesday night.

So. Overall with food. Fancy names. Great descriptions. Nice presentation. Average taste No blending of multiple ingredients for a full satisfied palate. Stirkes me as a place run as a business not a restaurant. Margins and economics not great food.

Will be back to eat one more time. Will get food. If same result will become a place for a drink and to people watch

Will
