This 5 star review is for Brenda who is amazing! The rest of the store has gone through many changes and im not sure if they are all for the better. Brenda always goes out of her way to make customers feel welcome and is always helpful. Brenda, please keep being the Rockstar you are!!!!
I have shopped at this Store 15 years, moved from the area and still drive to Shop here. I went Sunday and it will be my last time. I’ve been saying this the last few times but this is it. I’ve always been a person that checks every item for expiration. For the last 2 months, it’s been yogurt, shredded cheese and cheese sticks and the refrigerated crescent rolls, cinnamon rolls … The Deli is always out of the Store Cooked Meats now. Turkey Breast, Beef Round…. I starting noticing Hot Dogs, Bacon, Sausage were really bad with Exp Dates. My last 2 trips I couldn’t find kielbasa or steak that didn’t expire the day before, the day after or the day I was there. I asked both times if they had any that were fresher and they brought me some from the back. All of these items mentioned were Use By and Not Sell By Dates. Needed Fajita Shells, everyone of the size and kind that I was looking for were expired at least 3 days and I got to the bottom and there were 3 packs that expired mid June! The Produce Dept used to be the best around. Now I haven’t been able to buy a stalk of celery the last 3 or 4 times because it’s already soggy, lettuce is terrible. In the end the saddest part of this is that Groceries are costing more than ever. Families with Kids and especially Senior Citizens are struggling to make ends meet. These parents that don’t have the extra minute to search exp dates and the Senior Citizens that I’m sure can’t see majority of them because it takes a little searching for me on some items. Then they get home and wonder why something went bad in 48 hours. The Self Checkout has been a bonus for me because I always use Self Checkout whenever possible. I can go faster and pack my bags the way I want them. Now it’s for 15 or less items. What holds up full service lines longer, full carts or under 15 items?? So why wouldn’t you have the Full Service Express Line open for people to move through quickly and let people with full carts check themselves out?? However, they’ve apparently decided to do neither one of these because Sunday afternoon before a Holiday, Self Serve was 15 or less and full carts had their choice of 1 REGISTER that was open!!!! I walked down and asked the Employee at the Self Checkout if I can just go through because I only have 21 items, nope. While I was standing in the 5 Cart long line, I started to talk to a couple people waiting also. Interesting that both agreed that the Store has really gone down. One of them had the experience of getting home with an expired item and now has also been watching dates. He said he never thought it could be so bad and glad that he at least knows to check them now. Grocery Stores have Dept Managers. Produce, Meat, Deli, Grocery, Dairy ect…. It is their job to go through their inventory/area and make sure items are filled, in their right place, organized and definitely not expired. The Store Manager is responsible for all of those Departments. Their Job Description doesn’t include sitting in your Office your entire Shift. I remember Managers coming out to jump on a Register when lines got long. Clearly there are quite a few people that are not doing their jobs. I’m sure they probably won’t miss my $200+ trips every week, but at least I’ll be able to get my shopping done faster if I don’t have to check every date and go to a 2nd Store to get the items I need that were expired at my first stop. Do Better Safeway. Your Customers Deserve Better!!

Bought one item. Went to self checkout. None of the machines take cash!! Went to Customer Service and they told me they couldn’t make change. Told me to go to #7 (the only one open)checkout where there were 4 people in line already.

Great selection and even more personable staff.
Ordered groceries for pickup. The lady who brought out the groceries was very nasty. I understand we all have bad days but l didn’t do anything to her to deserve such attitude.

The bakery is AMAZINGGGGGThe manager is sooo sweet and the workers are amazing! My cake turned out BEAUTIFUL! EXACTLY how I explained I wanted, it was so tasty and moist and the buttercream was top tier, if you’re looking for a cheap high quality cake COME HERE ❤️

Expensive and the quality of their food is not that great! Also, they just raised the price the Venti Chai Tea at the Starbucks in the store, over 30 cents!! That’s insane! I will definitely not be going everyday to this Starbucks even though the girls that work there are amazing wonderful people!
Friendly cashier....bakery department is out of this world...I recommend the rainbow cake
