Just discovered this place after 2+ years of living in the area and can’t wait to come back! Convenient location next to the train station, super friendly staff (we were helped by Laquesha), and the food is fresh and tastes like home cooking. You must try the Zobo juice. Bonus is that they turn into a lounge after 9! We will be back!

One of the very best food service experiences that I have had👌. The restaurant owner (whom I had to commend personally) and Lakisha, the service manager, took care of me from start to finish.

I wanted a unique and thoughtful birthday experience for my sweetheart who happens to be Nigerian. Suya Republic offers a West African cuisine and it was just what I needed.

Everyone there was, warm, inviting and helpful. To making sure that we had the very best experience possible, Lakisha went out and not only got a full birthday cake but also candles, and even a Birthday Card for My partner from the staff! They brought out a beautiful bottle of wine, lightly chilled and placed between 2 wine glasses, in an iced barrel-basket.

They all helped me celebrate him by singing Happy Birthday with me, as he blew out his candles. The food was delicious and the warmth and energy from all of them made it an awesome. You could see how special and he felt, as he smiled so genuinely over and over again

We both thank you!

I had the opportunity to participate in the opening of the Bar and Lounge on Friday night and it was on and popping. A mixed crowd. Everyone socialized, laughing 🤣 , drank and had a fabulous time. I loved that there was no nonsense! Adults having a good time.

If you weren’t there you missed out on a night to remember. They had an awesome DJ. Offered bottle drinks and hookah. Mrs. Lakisha aka mamas 😂😂😂😂😂😂 and the other ladies behind the bar and serving were friendly and ensured your requests be that food 🥘 and/or drinks 🍹 were served timely and no one’s glass was empty. A1 service all around. Mamas was the hostess with service beyond measure.

You can party at the Suya Republic lounge Friday thru Sunday from 10 pm until 2 am; not that you will see me every night I’s getting old and can’t hang…lol. But come out and enjoy 😉 yourself.

The food is absolutely amazing and different than anything I'd tried before. The staff is very welcoming and happy to explain what everything is and what you might like. They even asked us to give them a call after we tried everything and let them know what we thought.

My family and I recently dined at Suya Republic and the ambiance was warm and inviting with tasteful decor. The menu featured a variety of Nigerian-American-inspired dishes, including Suya, grilled fish, jollof rice, chicken wings, shawarma, dundun, and more. I indulged in almost everything as I couldn't resist. The food was not just good; it was delicious, tender, rich, and flavorful, making every bite a delightful experience. The customer service, however, was the real highlight. They were not just attentive, but also incredibly friendly, making us feel welcomed and valued. This added to the overall enjoyable experience and made us feel like more than just customers. I would definitely recommend Suya Republic to anyone looking for a delicious and fun dining experience.

Bright, clean and welcoming atmosphere. Delicious, fresh, well seasoned food- with authentic west African seasons. Polite and welcoming service. Best Suya in a 50 miles radius. Shawarma was the best that I've had in the US. Jollof was A1. Plus everything was very reasonably priced.

Nice place! Good suya! Food came right out! Waitress was amazing. Very friendly. Was able to help me decide what I want and give suggestions. Harford county has been missing a place like this! I will be back ?

We stopped in to check out the menu and the owner spent time explaining each dish. We sampled the suya (the spicy is excellent) and immediately ordered the meal. The bartender is pleasant and easy to talk to. We will be back to try the shawarma!!

There are some things on the menu that are currently unavailable, but they are improving it as they grow. If you want to make sure something will be available, it may be best to call to see if they have it (if it’s not being ordered, they don’t want to waste money on spoiled food).
