Good restaurant. A little pricey

I stopped in for dinner on a weeknight in May 2025, and it was a perfect dinner! I ordered one crab cake with mashed potatoes and homemade cole slaw. Everything was excellent. I expected a very good crab cake, here on the DelMarVa Penninsula, and I was not disappointed. It was a large, delicious broiled crab cake, and it was enough for me. The cole slaw was superb and the potatoes were good, as well. Good service, too, in a nice dining room. The platter cost about $20 plus drinks, so prices are not bad. Highly recommended.

Great crab cakes and fish dish. Sides vegetables are sad but coleslaw is good.

The food was good. Ordered a crab cake sandwich very light and fluffy. Great flavor.

We paid 60 dollars and it was not worth 60 dollars. I asked for medium well steak and i got medium rare. The steak tasted like jarlic and butter. The shrimp had no flavor. The mashed potatoes just a no. The crab cake and the string beans were good.

My family and I came here for Mother's Day dinners and we had such a great time! Between the food and our service we received everything was awesome. Our waitress Autumn was awesome!

Best fried Rotisserie chicken ( yes fried with no additional breading, just crispy skin)
Hush puppies on point as well as the green beans, greens and cuke salad sides.
We aren’t from the area and stopped in for seafood based on reviews but decided to go with the chicken and we will now go out of our when anytime we are in the area. ( area range is 2 hour drive ,lol)
Looks as though they have a great happy hour and the dessert case shows off some serious sweets. We took the photos after we ate so they are close ups of our leftovers sorry!
Definitely go out of your way to try Dons.

My husband and I stopped by here on our way to Virginia. We wanted fish but both were intrigued by the Fried Rotisserie chicken. Holy Cats what a meal!!! Hands down the BEST chicken I have ever eaten in my life. The chicken must be brined, roasted and then fried. The flavor is out of this world. I am a hot sauce girl and when I tell you, I didn’t put a single thing on that chicken as it was NOT needed. Juicy, flavorful and the worst part is I will now crave this and live nowhere near this place.

We stopped here for our third time heading from Chesapeake VA to Reading PA. We arrived around 11:30 AM Sunday morning and were seated in a booth, greeted by our server, a gentleman by the name of Michael. We both chose the single crab cake, with 2 sides, entrée. Two small, well chilled house salads with dressing on the side, plus sweet potato fries and delicious onion rings, hot and seasoned to perfection. Service from Michael was Excellent and the lumpy crab cakes were Outstanding!
Next time I won't be so cheap and I'll Spurge for 2 crab cakes instead of just the single one. A Great place to stop for both lunch or dinner. Overall, a nice place to enjoy a delicious meal.

First time eating here. Food and service top notch! Reasonable prices. Would definitely eat here again!!! Delicious crabcakes, seafood dream, and crab flatbread!!!

Went there for dinner with my wife. We both ordered the Ribeye and Scallops. Hers came out correct. Cooked decently flavored. My steak however, was not a Ribeye. It was a Strip. Sent it back and chose not to order anything else. My wife finished her meal and we paid and left. The really disappointing part about this is we had high hopes for this place and this was the first time we had been there. We’ve lived on the Shore for 5 years and enjoy going to local restaurants and drove up from Melfa. Additionally the sad part is not one manager came to apologize or to see how to make it right.

This is ridiculous this is my second bad experience with this restaurant we decided to stop by and do a togo order and they refused to take it claiming they were busy spoke to the manager and she was rude and walked away so i then told her i was gonna leave this review because it makes no sense to refuse togo orders just because the kitchen is backed up they need to do better with costumer service!!!!!!

I love this place, every time I come here I have great ribeye and scallops. The food is great, the place is clean and our server is great. Every time I come here Megan gives us great service and is friendly. Thank you Megan!

Food took 45-50 minutes to get done. Chicken tenders didn’t even come with fries that’s pathetic. Whoever waited on us(I forgot because of how frustrating and irritating our situation was) gave me the wrong appetizer and KNEW IT! I had to call her and tell her to take it back and get me what I actually ordered. She was too focused on her big table for that nice fat tip from them rather than taking care of her smaller tables correctly. We had to ask hostess for a box because she was taking forever to get back to us. Only asked my partner if he wanted refills didn’t even bother asking me even though she came over to us with my glass empty. Then she took another 10 minutes to bring the check! We were there an hour and a half. Was NOT worth the time. Food was mediocre. Crab cakes tasted like the meat was about to go bad and it was disappointing and disgusting. Shouldn’t have even left a tip with our experience. Absolutely NOT going back. Not worth it at all. Should’ve gone to Chincoteague, would’ve got better and quicker service over there🙄. Server also didn’t bother changing my app on the bill trying to charge me more for her mistake instead of putting what her customer ACTUALLY ordered! Absolutely disgusting place! Do not recommend I’ll say it 100,000 times if I have to.
