Went on Wednesday for dinner. Place was busy, and the staff you could tell was not expecting how busy they were. Was kinda pushed into bar seating, while there was an empty table behind us for a good period of time ( maybe reserved but not sure). Snake bites were good. Ordered the stuffed rockfish and fish and chips. Rockfish was on the dry side and not seasoned. The cocktail sauce saved it quite honestly. The fries in the fish and chips were dry and just overall not good. You think oh it's just fries but it's literally in the name of the dish, make sure they are good. Overall would rather spend $100 somewhere else. Not somewhere I would go out of my way to return.

The goods and bads. Place is dirty, at least where we sat, up front in a circular booth. Plenty of dead flys and bugs on the window sills. Cleaning cloths sitting on top of the booth wall. Kind of smelt like urine. Me and the wife made fun of the cockroaches on the wall behind us and joked with the waitress about them. She stated she would bring it up to the owner. Don’t know if she was successful or not. The chef came over to greet us which was nice, chatted for a minute. We had the stuffed mushrooms for appetizers and fish and chips, and a home style turkey dinner. Topped it off with blue moon out of the bottle. Price point is high, but the food was excellent. Lise level is high where we sat but it is a bar or saloon so…. Overall, except for the need for some general cleaning and an entomologist. The experience was rather good.

Always a delicious and delightful dining experience at The Blue Dog! Locally owned and operated. They have a solid regular menu and a delicious rotation of specials that keep things interesting new. Seasonal creme brulees are always to die for. They do have outdoor seating when the weather is nice. No wait on weeknights but you definitely need a reservation on weekends! The menu appears a little pricey at first glance, but once you get your food you realize nothing is overpriced. Love this place!

Just moved to the area, 5 minute drive, first time visit...The scallops appetizer ($20...$9 better price) over priced for the atmosphere and taste (Voltagios MGM level taste for two, but not 3 scallops, but priced @ MGM level), 2 of 3 total scallops A++, one was chewy / rubbery D -. Service was good, check in very polite and professional ... wine bottle very reasonable price, special menu Bison burger was great A+, fries soggy... fish and chips... fish was done very well A... same soggy fries. We will come back to give another try... looking forward to it.

The food is always fantastic, from steaks to crab cakes and everything in between, I have never been disappointed. From the moment you walk in, it has a nice small town pub vibe.

Food was crazy good. Scallops with baked potatoe (sliced in coins) fresh spinich, and creamed corn. Amazing. The only reason I knocked off a star is the dessert was small and over priced IMHO. However, it was great. Just go and enjoy.

Cool place to have dinner! Prime rib was good portion but cold. Stuffed crab mushrooms are excellent but only 4 mushrooms for 18$.

Outstanding as usual. Prime rib always top notch, mack and cheese can be a meal by it's self, excellent service.

Crab stuffed Rockfish was terrible. We got the prime rib for my husband which was awesome. I got the crab stuffed rockfish. My rockfish tasted freezer burnt and just was not edible. There was a tiny bit of tasteless crab cake on top. My hubby split his prime rib in 2 for us both- it was a generous portion and was very good. Becky the bartender was great. She had the terrible fish removed from our bill, which was very nice. It’s a shame since this was our 36th anniversary dinner, and it wasn’t really a great experience. A big disappointment at the Blue Dog.

The food is to die for! My family almost always gets the prime rib because it's the best prime rib any of us have had. On occasion, I like to try something new and I've always been overjoyed with how delicious the food is here.

We like to request Amanda as our server because she is also the best!
