The Eggs Benedict, omelets and coffee here are terrific. Eggs poached perfectly, meat VA ham, delicate holandaise with just enough tang; light thin omelet with lots of filling, and good strong coffee. Stopped in after an early morning photo shoot. Great service, great food. Thank you!

Good Food Friendly Service!!

Food and service is fantastic!!! My partner and I tried two of the specials (chipped beef and eggs Benedict with brisket). Both were amazing, very flavorful. Chipped beef was real meat not processed lunch meat. The brisket was super tender. The mimosas topped it all off. We are definitely coming back.

This is one of my main go tos for cluent meetings and out of town guest treats. Heartfelt and genuine care for our community shines here with their Veteran and First Responder breakfasts and catering services. Coffee is always delicious, food is sumptuous, creative, and plentiful. Looking forward to the fall soup creations!

Bulrushes - Breakfast & Lunch Cafe is a revelation for the senses. From the moment I walked in, the aroma of slow-smoked brisket and freshly baked bread enveloped me, instantly awakening my appetite. The cashier and waitress, with their engaging and professionally charismatic presence, set the stage for an extraordinary meal.

The Brisket Bomb arrived, its spices releasing a tantalizing fragrance that hinted at deep, smoky complexity. With each bite, the brisket’s peppery crust and subtle sweetness danced across my palate, while the tender meat practically melted at the touch of my tongue. The Lasagna Special was a visual feast—layers of golden cheese and vibrant sauce that promised comfort. The first forkful delivered a harmonious blend of herbs and rich tomato, the flavors lingering and evolving long after the bite.

The Brisket Smash Burger was a sensory masterpiece. The patty, crowned with smoked bacon crumbles, grilled onions, and American cheese, was a riot of textures and tastes. The smokiness of the bacon and brisket mingled with the sweetness of the onions and the creamy tang of melted cheese, creating a flavor symphony that resonated with every chew. The onion rings added a satisfying crunch, their golden crust shattering with each bite.

Every sense was engaged: the sight of beautifully plated dishes, the sound of a lively café, the touch of crisp onion rings and pillowy buns, the smell of expertly blended spices, and above all, the taste —a crescendo of savory, sweet, and smoky notes that lingered long after the meal ended. Bulrushes doesn’t just serve food; it orchestrates a full sensory experience that elevates breakfast and lunch to pure artistry.
