Great burgers, happy hour everyday from 4-7pm, and killer shakes. Order at the bar, grab a number and a table and enjoy. Foster's is a great stop for a good meal, with solid customer service. They also have a bunch of seasonal specials that aren't on the regular menu.

I wanted to love Fosters. I’ve been To the La Plata location quite a few times and for the most part enjoyed it. In Prince Frederick I have liked my burger probably 60% of the time. I tried the turkey burger did not care for it. Their french fries could be amazing. They just need to turn the temperature up on their fryer. A lot of times the fries come out, soggy and way too full of grease. Most of the Employeesare super friendly. I know they haven’t been open long. Hopefully, I will be pleasantly surprised in Possible future visits.

Food was too expensive for what it was. In the chicken sandwich ($16) the actual chicken in the sandwich was almost as thin as the pickles that came on it. One beer was $8. Yes, I chose a higher ABV beer. Happy hour sign said $3.99 for premium. “Premium” was yuengling, blue moon and something else. Not the actual beer that I considered “premium”. Ketchup bottle was empty at my table. Things are getting expensive these days, I get it. But I feel ripped off man. Just upset. Please be more upfront with your pricing.

The ordering process is inefficent. You have to fill out an order form then wait in a very long line. That long line? It's because they make you review your form selections with the cashier. During that waste of time, the staff literally just re-circles what you've already circled and asks if you really want what you've selected. Also, people were cutting ahead in line...even after asking people if they were in line. Not sure if that's a regular thing? Once I made it through all that, there was still a long wait for my salty and overpriced food. To be fair though, the staff was very friendly.

One thing that I'm not sure is being noticed is that they have a weird tack on fee of $2.21 if you don't use cash. It's almost 2026...no one carries cash. I just spent $70 on reheated frozen food for dinner, and you can’t absorb the credit card fee? It's weird and definitely has nickle-and-dime energy.

I really, really want this place to improve because I love supporting our local spots, but until then? Pass.

Very clean and friendly place. It’s new still. I ordered 10 wings $15.50 WITHOUT a drink and fries. Another party ordered Grilled Chicken Sandwich Basket with drink and fries $16.95. We were asked more than once how the food was. My other party noticed the tomatoes didn’t seem fresh.. they are a good eater and not picky but did say it was a “decent” sandwich to the manager when asked. It was cold outside but they have a couple of nice yard game sets outside for you to use. We will be back to try other stuff on the menu with cash. My total was $36.08.

I’ve been to this location a few times, and every time I go it’s great. The food is amazing, the prices are reasonable, and the atmosphere is very friendly. Do not be swayed by these 1 star reviews. One review mentioned the restaurant forgot someone’s mozzarella sticks. They don’t even serve mozzarella sticks. That alone should tell someone how untrue these one star reviews are.

I had fish and chips and the fish was over cooked. My wife's rueben was good but way too much sauce on it made it soon . The portion sizes were good. My wife had a shake and it was very good. I really like the place. I will try it again and update my review. The service was excellent. The prices were good also.

Not impressed. The food was “ok”, nothing special. The buffalo chicken salad I ordered came with 5 small strips of plain chicken (see picture). It was not buffalo chicken, just plain, dry chicken. When I said something I got a very small container of hot sauce, not buffalo chicken sauce. Not a typical buffalo chicken saled by a long shot. The ordering system is bizarre to say the least. You have to fill out a “ticket” before going to the counter. (See picture) The ticket list no prices nor does it include all the items so you end up having to order from the counter anyway. There were only 2 people ahead of me and it took 10 minutes because of the confusion with the ticket process and the person taking the order at the counter. Finally they had my pet peeve, a surcharge for any credit card order (see picture) A family. Of 4 would easily spend $60 here. Most people do not carry cash with them in large amounts anymore. They hide it behind a “pay cash and save” scam. If the local ice cream shop does not have to do this or any other restaurant, why does this restaurant? Are they that hard up to save money? If so where else are the cutting corners ( maybe by only putting 5 small pieces of chicken on my salad). They also have a disingenuous sign claiming it’s a cash discount. They say you will get a 3.5% discount for cash, but all the prices on the menu are for cash. So despite the word salad on their sign you are not getting a discount, you are getting a surcharge for using what 99% of other restaurants do not charge for. I want these locally owned businesses to succeed but this place is too much of a hassle to put up with for a meh dining experience.

We visited Fosters Grille in Prince Frederick MD for the first time and we were very pleased. The food was really good and reasonably priced. This might become our go to for burgers. I'll need to try the chicken and fish and chips.
Happy to see this option in Calvert County.

Excellent food, great service. It's a little loud at times but completely with it. Pub food/beer garden done 100 percent right. 10/10 from me.
