Be prepared for a scratch cooked meal. The food is expertly prepared with care and precision. Staff are very friendly and attentive throughout your entire dining experience and it's definitely a wonderful experience. You will leave with a delighted pallet, full stomach and have had a wonderful experience with whomever you choose to bring along with you. The deviled eggs, crab pot pie, tuna steak and grilled chicken were delicious and cooked to perfection. I can't wait to return and try the filet.

One of my favorites! The food and service is always above and beyond. My friends and I did a champagne tasting event and it was so much fun! We loved all the small plates and drink pairing . The cookie skillet is hands down the best dessert around!

This is one of our favorite local spots. The Bolognese is one if my favorite dishes. The atmosphere is nice and the service is great. The only complaint I'd share is the noise level when there are a lot of patrons in one room. The restaurant is in an old house, so the dining areas are in large rooms, but the sound echos pretty bad, so it's difficult to have conversations without raising ones voice. When it's packed, everyone is talking louder and it just escalates. If they could find a way to reduce the echo and damp the sound, it would increase the intimacy of the atmosphere.
We still love it and will continue to return for their excellent food and service.

Consistently Great Meals & Perfect Small Plates Stopped in tonight for dinner — came a little early because I wanted to order from the Small Plate Menu, which runs from 3–6 PM daily at the bar and on Wednesdays from 3–8 PM throughout the restaurant. This review actually covers our last three visits: once in late May with a friend, again in June, and then this most recent dinner. Each visit has been consistently great. 🔹 Visit #1 (May): My wife and I came with a friend and ordered off the Small Plate Menu: Wife: Side salad & chicken fingers Friend: Grilled chicken with potatoes Me: Wedge salad & chicken and biscuits (a favorite of mine) We also shared the risotto balls with marinara, which were very good. I usually get the Old Fashioned when we come — they make a good one, but I do wish they’d muddle the orange and cherry a bit instead of just tossing them in. I always squeeze the orange in myself — it adds so much flavor and brings the drink together the way it should be. 🔹 Visit #2 (June): My wife had the chicken and biscuits, and I had the fried shrimp basket with fries. I was honestly surprised — the shrimp were good-sized and nicely done, especially for a small plate portion. I also had another Old Fashioned and, as usual, squeezed the orange in myself — makes all the difference! 🔹 Visit #3 (This Week): I came solo and had my go-to: chicken and biscuits with an Old Fashioned (yes, squeezed the orange again!). Meal was delicious — comforting and flavorful, just as expected. I’m really glad they brought the Small Plate Menu back — sometimes you don’t want a huge meal, and these are just right. Now if I could just talk them into bringing back those chocolate chip cookies again, Id get a dozen if they had them! We’ll definitely keep coming back.

Heritage 485 is HIGHLY recommended! The food and craft cocktails are ALWAYS consistently excellent, as is the service! We drive about 40 minutes from La Plata when we want to celebrate something special. We split a caeser salad, risotto balls, and a Ban Mi sandwich, and as expected... ALL were excellent. We also enjoyed an Old Fashioned and a Strawberry Smash (or two), and those too were AMAZING!

I was recently recommended to come here for the pork chops and it was hands down one of the best pork chops I have ever had. I would probably make the comparison of as tender as a filet. The drinks were great and the dessert was made fresh. The service was on point and the atmosphere is very unique as your dining inside a home. Off the beaten path but a must for any occasion.
