Rita's Italian Ice & Frozen Custard

I almost forgot to do this. I went in on Saturday late afternoon, after an exhausting day, and was greeted by two very friendly happy people. You could tell they really enjoyed their job and that's what keeps me visiting whenever I find myself in MD. They made some reccomendations (some kind of shredder ice juice thing) and let me tell you, it was surprisingly great. AND THERE WASN'T HALF A CUP OF ICE AFTER THE JUICE WAS GONE! IT WAS PRIMARILY JUICE! ASTOUNDING!! Anyways, thanks girls and thanks Rita.

Will not be returning- horrible hygiene practices! I went in tonight and there were 2 girls working, one was rolling up the front door mat and moping and the other was making orders. The girl cleaning the floors stopped cleaning and came around and tried to make our order and I stopped her and asked her to wash her hands. She went back to cleaning after we were done and then when the next people came in, stopped cleaning and prepared the next order without washing her hands, again! We will be stick with the Dunkirk location after tonight’s experience, we know mistakes can happen but to turn around and do it again right after someone makes you aware is unacceptable in food service.

Took the fam there, everybody got what they wanted quick and had smiles on their faces. Mine was delicious!

I am a fan of Rita’s, but I don’t like the new drywall in front of the ice flavors. Half of the reason you go there is for the fun colors and to see your ice before you order. You can see nothing now and it takes away from the experience. I went in today, and no one was in there. Maybe they are loosing business because of it? I wish they would go back to the way it was, it was nicer and more personal.

We found a plastic object in our drink, and when we went to talk to the owner about it, he denied that it was from his store and he was very rude. We ended up talking to corporate about it and once they thought they had “resolved” it and said it was a cherry pit although it was actually plastic, the owner emailed back all high and mighty saying that it wasn’t his fault. We will never be giving his store service again even being customers for over 10 years. It’s very disappointing we had to experience this.

They only serve soft serve. It's not real icecream.

Great atmosphere, very clean, and the employees were polite & helpful. My family has liked every flavor we've tried, and we'll keep coming back as often as we can all summer long!
