I had a dental procedure recently and wanted something soft like soup and have not been happy the past two times I have eaten there but figured I would get a bowl of soup to go and I did really like the Maryland crab soup, well the bartender brings me a bag with a plastic container of soup in the bag, no spoon, no napkin, no crackers, just a container of soup. If I had eaten inside is this how he would have served someone? I tipped him as much as the soup cost and was shocked when I opened the bag and there wasn’t even a napkin or spoon inside let alone a saltine cracker, Stoneys better step up before you lose all your business, I might mention he had bar customers but not one table was taken, this is not the way to run a restaurant.

So I have been on a hunt to find the best crab cakes since I’ve been in Maryland! This is the place. The crab cakes are fresh at least 98% crab meat, no fillers omg they are perfect, and I do not say that often. I highly recommend this restaurant! We had a great experience!

Until yesterday it had been years since I dined at Stoney's. My son and I ordered crab imperial, and my mother & her boyfriend ordered a multi-type dish. Bottom line, the crab imperial was the WORST I ever had. I was a waterman during the 1980s to the mid 1990s, and one thing I know is Maryland blue crab. It had lemon juice in it, which has NO PLACE in any recipe containing blue crab. Additionally, it was loaded down with grated red bell pepper, which also has NO PLACE in a recipe containing lump backfin meat. The crab imperial, they told me, comes pre-made in batches, so there was no way the poor tasting (an understatement!) dish posing as crab imperial could be remade correctly.Whomever came up with the foul dish posing as Stoney's crab imperial should be fired, as their culinary understanding is completely off the mark. Instead of harnessing the fantastic flavor of blue crab lump back-fin meat (the actual crab was fantastic), Stoney's current recipe adds the red bell pepper to it "for presentation." Well, to those responsible, you must have skipped culinary class the day they warned students not to destroy the flavor of a dish by simply adding an otherwise useless ingredient just to make it colorful. This tendency by Stoney's is of course obvious when, upon removing the crab imperial dish from the plate it came on, and seeing the soggy mess of shredded lettuce one can only assume was placed there for color. As for the lemon juice in the dish, I can't help but wonder what those who approved the current "recipe" smoke and/or imbibe before going to work each day. As for the online recipes that list it as an ingredient, consider the source. They obviously don't taste what they cook, or know anything about the difference between Maryland blue crab and the other (and mostly poorer-tasting crabmeats).News flash Stoney's: Dump the current recipe before you go out of business or into Chapter 11. Having round-filed it, consider that crab imperial only needs the following to be a house favorite: the great crab meat already in use, heavy cream, UNSEASONED bread crumbs, butter. Though I sometimes use egg in my crab cakes, crab imperial is the most decadent of Maryland blue crab recipes for a reason. At $35.00 per serving, Stoney's sure knows how to charge for it. Learn how to make it the way it should be.

I ordered 2 order of banging shrimps and a garden salad. The salad was withered and croutons was soft. I called Shoney's for a refund. The lady said no refund.We. I can make another salad. I explained that I didn't want another salad. I had garden salad there before, but nothing like this. Nothing got resolved. I will not return there again. This is my 3rd time. That lady wasn't professional. I am done.

I went to Stoney’s last week. They do not even deserve a one star. It was overpriced, small servings. I enjoyed my shrimp tacos and they were average priced but my boyfriend got scallops they were just okay tasting but a very small serving. Definitely not worth the price. We got sides of green beans, onion rings, fries. None of which tasted good, which is insane because those are simple sides. I can make better fries myself at home. We got an appetizer of crab dip, which was burnt! The worst part was we waited 40 minutes before a server even came to our table. They were not very crowded but had allowed a party of over 10 come in without a reservation before we got there. We were not informed of this until after we had put in our food order and should’ve been told as soon as we got there so we would’ve known to go somewhere else. They also should not have accepted such a large group if they were not able to handle it. We put in our order with our drinks and we waited another hour after the first 40 minutes before our food started to come out. And it took another 20 after the original 40 to get our drinks. The server made us feel unwelcome by the way he disclosed his anger, complaining to us about large amounts of people, the hostess and telling us the kitchen was getting their “a**’s” handed to them. I almost never leave reviews but this experience was so bad I had to. Go literally anywhere else for your own sake.

Took an hour to get our food and when we got it it wasn't worth the wait or the price. Crab dip was burnt and watery at the same time. The scallops tasted good just wish there was more than 6 of em on the plate . Our waiter couldn't have been nicer though. Won't be back anytime

First time with wife visiting this restaurant. We placed our orders and was not happy at all. I ordered the dounle crab cake dinner with side salad and green beans. My wife ordered the grill chicken salad. The crab cake dinner was at market price and was awful, with little to no meat and like of filling. I should've went to Burger King! When they final brought my wife salad out look like a salad portion for a 2 year old kid. Not actually what I vision from this restaurant. The staff was professional and understood that being our first time was not going well. Please if you plan to visit review all the comments from people already been. Very pricey and the quality of the food is very poor. Our first and last visit to this place. THUMBS DOWN ? from us. ???
