Blown away! This place comes with great atmosphere, being set in the Historic George Washington Inn; but it definitely doesn't stop there. Came in to grab a quick drink and bite to eat and ended up having one of the best dinners on the Eastern Shore. Jump off Route 13 to stop at Sugar Water at the historic Washington Inn and you won’t regret your decision to bypass some fast food place. Great service, good food, and pet friendly (outside only). The grilled cheese and butternut squash soup combo was a home run and the shrimp salad was fresh and crisp (no heavy mayo version). Dog and toddler strongly endorsed the french fries.
We had a fantastic brunch at Sugar Water 1744 Restaurant, a charming farm-to-table gem in Princess Anne, MD. The setting was elegant, with an impressive bar, beautiful table settings, and a cozy front porch where we enjoyed coffee, mini red velvet muffins, and fluffy stuffed French toast. My companion loved the gluten-free shrimp spring rolls. Generous portions and exceptional service from our lovely server, Amy, made it a perfect August Sunday morning. We’ll be back for dinner!
