Good food at good prices. The outstanding feature is the extraordinary service by their personnel. The hostess went well beyond her duties assisting my friend who uses a rolling walker and myself. The server provided the most attentive service I have ever had. Even though the lunches we chose were very modest, we were treated by the waiter (also, as it was a light day, the bartender) was genuinely concerned that we were satisfied every step of the way. We were more than satisfied; both the hostess and the server treated us like royalty! My husband and I have enjoyed many dinners there over the years and have always had excellent service. I must say, though, that the day my friend and I were there, the restaurant employees were beyond excellent in their attentiveness.
Our waiter Randy was great but my food came out cold and I was to get a veggie of the day as well as potatoes. theirs only three small cold red potatoes that had zero seasoning on them and one piece of zucchini three pieces of cauliflower and 2 pieces of asparagus. Pretty lame in my opinion. the. the rockfish i got was ok but cold and I ordered the avocado and grapefruit “ sauce” as advertised on the menu and i got a small cup with three small pieces of avocado and two pieces of grapefruit. not a sauce and only enough to eat with 2-3 bites of my small cold piece of fish. it was certainly not a sauce. the waiter did take my plate and reheated my food but that then overcooked my fish. For what i paid not worth it in my opinion. not sure I would choose to dine here again. the ice cream dessert was good.
Definitely not the best experience. My mashed potatoes were cold and tasted old. The salmon BLT was tiny and definitely not worth $21. The server was great however, and did the right thing by removing the entree from the tab. I don't think we will be coming back though. The food doesn't seem worth the price.
Server was evidently weeded which led to tables being served out of order. Once our order was taken, the main course came out within 5 minutes of the appetizers. Food was not up to the typical quality. An off night but if it would have been my first visit, it would have been my last considering the cost versus the quality of service and food.
Nice place, but the food was nothing special. We went for the Olympic French Style special menu but, having eaten throughout France lots of time, was somewhat disappointing. Particularly in the 'confit duck' which was nothing like the confit duck I've enjoyed in France. Nice staff and the bar area was busy with a nice atmosphere. We sent back to have some snacks and drinks in the bar another day and much preferred that but would not go back to eat in the restaurant.
Waiter was very unpleasant. When we asked for some bread and batter, while we were waiting for appetizers , he replied on a very nasty tone that restaurant run out of bread and batter (!?). On Saturday evening at 7:00PM?! Very strange... His attitude actually spoiled our Saturday evening. We ordered PRE-SET MENU, offered due to the Paris Olympic, and we were waiting for 45 minutes before we got appetizers. And restaurant was not even 70% full... Looks like the kitchen problem. Sorry, but we are NOT COMING BACK anytime soon. We are also very sorry because this is our local, near-by restaurant. We ordered bottle of red wine from the pre-set menu listed on the menu for $35, but when we received the bill we were charged $45! We had to sent the bill back, which is very bad practice in my opinion...
Wanted to like this restaurant - it's close to home and I have been there a few times before, so I decided to bring my 16 yrs old daughter to try it. Bad bad experience - never coming back here again. It started with a young hostess and unfriendly waiter standing at the host desk and not even acknowledging that we are standing there waiting to be seated. Then, we got that same unfriendly waiter to serve us and he never asked if the food was ok - walked by many times and did not ask once! I decided to try the special Olympic menu. Brie was ok for an appetizer, the duck confit was ALL fat, I could not find much meat and had to send it back. My daughter had margarita pizza - small flatbread not cooked throughout with some cheese and tomatoes to top for $15! Save your money and go somewhere else! Kecco's down the street is much better food and service. Not sure how this place is still in business with bad service and not good food.
our experience on this evening at the Harryman house for dinner was simply excellent across the board, the oysters, mahi bites, fish chowder, gazpacho were all excellent appetizers! the beet and arugala salad was very tasty, the branzino, and the avacado and crab were all well prepared and done perfectly. Topped it off with espresso martini made the way its supposed to be made!
Joy was our server. She took our appetizer order, came back with it, left. All 6 of us held onto the cardboard type of menus and 2 of us ate appetizers while holding them. A while later she took our order, finally. Our appetizer dishes were not removed and a different person served main dish. She didn't come back to table for a long time. Not at ll impressed with her performance, very embarrassed because there were 6 of us. Next Wednesday 7/31/24 6:30 pm we will be back and do not want her to serve our table.
We visited the Grill at The Harryman's house on 7/10/24 around 5:00PM. The location is great, parking is plentiful and the service was great. I've visited before for breakfast and the food is always great. I highly recommend if in the area. Worth the drive if you're not in the area also.

Everything was more than satisfactory except the food which, of course, is the reason you're there. The salmon was so incredibly salty, it was close to being returned to the chef. It was also rather fishy and barely “grilled”. The vegetables and potatoes were well cooked but had no seasoning whatsoever. There was too little Caesar dressing on the salad, and the grilled asparagus was under cooked and tough. Lovely setting. Good waiter.
We had a wonderful meal. Our waitress was so nice and accommodating. She recommended the cheese cake, which was wonderful! I used to visit this restaurant often when it was Harryman House over 20 years ago! The new restaurant still has a great menu and the food is outstanding!
As ever, Harryman House is the true example of an amazing dining experience. While other players, especially new players, in the market try to wow you with their version of what they think you want, Harryman House stays true to, amazing understandable cuisine, consistently fantastic service and a wonderful atmosphere...all within a price point that isn't insulting or pretentious. Please frequent Harryman House, but don't tell too many friends because then there will be fewer seating options for me lol !
I've never been disappointed in any meal at Harryman House. Today was no exception. Everything was prepared to perfection from soup to creme brûlée for dessert. Our server, Jason, was the best. Looking forward to our next birthday lunch.
Unfortunatly, this was our first and most likely our last visit. We had high hopes for The Grill due to their social media presence and reviews. Last night did NOT meet those standards. It was Steak and Wine night which seemed like a great time to give this restaurant a try. I ordered the filet medium rare, and when it came out it was cooked to medium well. I sent it back in hopes of it being correct, this time it came out medium well again. I decided to forgo dinner since tonight was clearly not their night for cooking steaks correctly. My husband ordered the New York medium rare and is some sections it was perfect but as he got toward the thicker end of the steak (unevenly cut) it was rare. Since most of the steak was eaten we didn't bother to send it back. Especially since I wasn't having luck with my refires.
